¡Hola, comunidad de NeedleWorkMonday!
Me llamo Chiky, soy cubana y me encanta el arte del crochet. Tejer se ha convertido en mi refugio, mi momento de paz, algo que disfruto muchísimo en mi tiempo libre, sobre todo después de terminar los quehaceres de la casa.
Como se imaginarán, vivir en Cuba tiene sus retos, y uno de ellos es conseguir materiales adecuados para tejer. Aquí no es nada fácil encontrar hilos ni agujas, pero eso nunca me ha detenido. Cuando comencé, no tenía agujetas, así que me fabriqué una con un pedacito de madera. ¡Imagínense eso! Pero las ganas eran más grandes que las dificultades.
Lo poquito que sé lo he aprendido sola, mirando videos, tutoriales y cometiendo muchos errores en el camino. Pero con cada punto y cada vuelta he ido creciendo. De vez en cuando me hago alguna blusita, no será perfecta, pero lleva todo mi amor y esfuerzo.
Me emociona muchísimo formar parte de esta comunidad y poder compartir mis creaciones, por humildes que sean. ¡Gracias por recibirme!

My name is Chiky, I'm from Cuba, and I absolutely love crochet. It's become my little escape, a peaceful hobby I enjoy in my free time, especially after finishing all the house chores.
As you can imagine, living in Cuba comes with many challenges—one of them being the difficulty of finding the right materials to crochet. Yarn and proper hooks are hard to come by here, but that has never stopped me. When I first started, I didn't have any hooks, so I made one myself out of a small piece of wood. Can you believe that? But my passion was stronger than the obstacles.
Everything I know, I've learned on my own—watching videos, tutorials, and making lots of mistakes along the way. Little by little, I've improved. Every now and then, I make myself a blouse. It might not be perfect, but it's made with love and dedication.
I'm truly excited to be part of this community and to share my humble creations. Thank you for having me!
