One Sunday afternoon, we decided to escape the routine and head to El Pilón, that little corner in Havana that always brings us peace. With the gentle sea breeze brushing our faces, we sat at our favorite table. I had my michelada, and he had his classic draft Cristal beer. We enjoyed every sip while talking about life and what’s coming next.
The atmosphere at El Pilón is so calm and familiar, it invites us to relax and open up about our ideas, our dreams, and even our fears. We talked about our future plans, the places we want to visit, and the goals we hope to achieve together. We laughed about the little things, and shared those inside jokes only we understand.
Those are the moments I cherish the most—when time seems to stop and everything else fades into the background. The combination of a good beer, Pocho’s company, and our heartfelt conversations make those Sundays truly special. Always, by the end of the day, as the sun sets and the Havana sky turns warm and colorful, I feel grateful to share those moments with him, in our little paradise called El Pilón.
