Have you ever been in the state where fear surrounds you just because something good shined a little light on you? Your breathing becomes haggard, you feel like you are at the edge of a cliff with a huge storm coming your way and your mind travels through space and time of what could go wrong the moment you embrace the little glitter of happiness.
This phase is a terrifying phase to be at. It is very sad when you can't even celebrate things because you know what could go the next minute. Or have you been in a phase where you've followed the rules all your life, and you are just at that point of breakdown because it feels like nothing is working for you?
You know that sense of emptiness you feel after doing something good over and over again because you thought there's supposed to be a reward for it, not something huge or mind-blowing. Maybe something like- having what you are working on brings reward, an answer to something you've been hoping for or expecting for a long time.
Today, I almost had a breakdown the moment I woke up. Surprisingly, I saw a sentence that just blew me off from that daze. It tallied with exactly what I was experiencing, like it read my mind. I found it fascinating, and I couldn't help the smile that grazed my lip thereafter.
Sometimes, when we are faced with moments like these, all we need is a reminder. A soft word, a statement, or a call from someone to remind us of the victories we've had. Even a change in weather could bring a whole bunch of change to our lives.
... and if you are ever in a moment where you are scared to embrace a little sun of happiness in your life, just breathe and let the smile in. Don't stop yourself from experiencing such beauty because when the bad comes, whether you like it or not, you'll experience it. You'll feel it and maybe even taste it.
That's why you must not chase away the beauty that presents itself to you. Don't let your dark thoughts overshadow the ray of happiness that you clearly deserve. You not embracing that happiness wouldn't stop bad things from happening. Life happens, and there are those parts of it we can't stop from happening to us.
Clear your head. Scream out loud, cry if it'll help, bounce back and forth if that's your style. Do whatever it is you can so that when that happiness comes - when it comes, you'll kiss with so much charm that it'd take it breath away. Don't shy away from the things that make you happy because they are part of your existence.
I was planning on having full blast pop music on, but the weather changed the mood to something even better. Since today is #threetunestuesday by @ablaze, these songs have been twitching my earlobes in a fun-filled way!

I woke up with Soledad ringing in my head like a hungry beast. I don't know if it was because I listened to Backstreet Boys yesterday that made me simply crave Westlife songs.
