Hey Hive!
I have been busy! This has been the best year I have ever experienced with Amanita muscaria since I moved to Germany in 2017. I wanted to share some pictures with you!
Have you foraged any mushrooms this year??
Some quick reminders... - Even if the mushroom is safe to forage, the wood it's growing out of could make it toxic. - Never forage near a road. Brake and tire residue bioaccumulates in the mushrooms making them toxic. If these mushrooms are boiled or cooked the heavy metals can be magnified. - The best time to pick mushrooms is after a day or two of steady wind. This begins the drying process for you and it is less likely they will have begun to rot. - Rain may discolor mushrooms. Only harvest them if you are 100% sure what they are.
