I am back! Hah! I really did not like this deer prompt at all because apparently drawing a deer is hard and very new for me and I have no idea how to draw a deer head in a weird angle so I was soooooo demotivated to do this one XD But I did it anyways because of the cursed prompts XD I hope next year, there won't be any animal insertions because I cannot, for the life of me, do another animal again XD And I had to do this in a rush too sooo lol. But I blame my rush for me being out and about lately. IDK I just want to go out and live my life a little bit more. I mean, I don't aim to like overstimulated myself, but I need new perspective and inspiration.
Materials: Black ink, black and white pens, chalk Duration: 3 hours, mostly because of the ink XD
I was actually doing this while also doing the digital deer Naara art and that was a different kind of mental and hand gymnastics I had to pull off XD I have no regrets though, I managed to finish both in a day and that is a brand new feat for me XD
For my progression, I started painting with ink again ^^ I was thinking of adding foliage over my sketch cuz i thought that would come off a little bit more natural?
But then I ended up painting over the deer's neck so that kind of ruined the peocess for me. I was just too lazy to start over which is why I just pushed through and tried to salvage it in whatever way i could. i tried switching pens and all and that didn't really work that well for me 😅
And when switching pens failed me, i just ended up doing the highlights and the rest of what i think needed to be filled in. and that was basically it for me this time 🥲🥲
I don't think I want to attempt drawing a deer again for a while. that one was pretty hard but i hope i can give this time for a better study 😅
Well, that's all from me for today. I've been writing so much again lately but that's because so much stuff keeps happening in my day 🙃 Day 5 is done and I'm still on track!
