Hello Friends of Hive!
I have been in Mongolia last month.
Not only, I have been very busy with many jobs, so I haven't had to time to post here.
I want to start again with a sequence of camels walking on dunes of Gobi desert.
Gobi desert is located in the south of the country.
After a very long day on a russian van, and after crossing a steppe with some bushes and some shepherds with goats and some rarely yurts, we came to this isolated lands. Dunes are arranged in a narrow path, a few hundreds meters on the steppe.
I love the space and the silence of this place. I missed them now in Italy.
In Mongolia half of people (one million and half) live in Ulan Bator, the other half in the entire country. It is the less populated country on the Earth.
We did a shooting with camels running on the sandy edge of a dune, at sunset:
I was incredible to watch the sand illuminated by the last warm sunrays...
My favorite pic is the following one: you can see the profile of the animals, like a shining golden outlin (I needed to underexposure a lot to take this effect, it has been not easy to regulate settings, obviously in manual mode).
Pictures taken with Nikon D800.
