A few days ago, my sister gave me a gift that immediately stole my heart – The Legend of Zelda Game Traveler Deluxe case for Nintendo Switch. As a fan of the big N games, I had been hunting for something that would not only protect the console, but also have that ‘Hyrule’ vibe. And I must say – my first impressions are fantastic.

Appearance

The case makes an impression from the very first second. The colour – turquoise-green, reminiscent of the water and forests of Hyrule – looks great in real life, and the metal badge with The Legend of Zelda logo is an absolute highlight. It is heavy, solid, golden – a detail that makes it immediately clear that this is an official product, not just any case from Temu or Aliexpress. There is also a metal detail from Zelda on the zipper. The case feels stiff and semi-hard to the touch, so I can easily throw it in my backpack without fear of damaging the console. The only thing I would worry about is damage and dents on this hard material, but time will tell.

Interior and accessories

When I opened the case, I was really surprised by how many things were inside and how cleverly it was designed.

The manufacturer included fabric covers to protect the controllers from scratches. A nice addition that I didn't expect, and really useful if you often play in handheld mode.

Space for the gamepad and dock – there is a special space inside where you can store the Joy-Con Grip or gamepad (in this case, 8BitDo). This is a huge plus, because usually such accessories have to be carried separately. There is also space for the dock next to it, so you can easily take the console to various events, just like I recently took the console to my family in Germany (it saved the holidays, we played Just Dance / Mario Party all day long 😅).

Game organiser – I got two small boxes, each for four cartridges, so I have space for 10 games in total. Thanks to this, I don't have to carry plastic boxes around – everything is organised and easily accessible. The only thing is that they are a little difficult to open.

Two mini boxes for SD cards – tiny, but golden. They protect them so that there is no risk of losing them. For someone who keeps part of their library digitally and their golden saves, this is a great solution.

First tests on the road

I put the Switch in the case, added a few games, Joy-Cons with covers and an SD card box – and checked how it all looked in my backpack. To put it briefly: it fits perfectly. The case is light, handy and has a handle, so you can carry it like a small suitcase. The console doesn't move around inside, the games are safe, and the extra pad also has its place. It's not just a ‘cover’ – it's actually a mini-suitcase for the entire Switch set. If you travel, I think it's a must-have. On the other hand, if you only play on the handheld, I would recommend buying a smaller case for the console itself (and not for the dock, pad, etc.).

Jako fan gier wielkiego N od dawna polowałem na coś, co nie tylko ochroni konsolę, ale też będzie miało ten „hyrule” klimat. No i muszę powiedzieć – pierwsze wrażenia są rewelacyjne.

Wygląd zewnętrzny

Etui robi wrażenie od pierwszej sekundy. Kolor – turkusowo-zielony, przypominający wodę i lasy Hyrule – wygląda świetnie na żywo, a metalowa odznaka z logo The Legend of Zelda to absolutny highlight. Jest ciężka, solidna, złocista – taki detal, który sprawia, że od razu wiadomo, że to oficjalny produkt, a nie byle futerał z temu czy z Aliexpress. Na suwaku jest również metalowy detal z Zeldy. W dotyku etui jest sztywne, półtwarde, więc spokojnie mogę wrzucić je do plecaka bez strachu, że coś się stanie konsoli. Jedyne o czym bym się martwił, to jedyne uszkodzenia i wgniecenia na tym twardym materiale, ale czas pokaże.

Wnętrze i dodatki

Po otwarciu futerału byłem naprawdę zaskoczony, ile rzeczy zmieszczono w środku i jak sprytnie to zaprojektowano.

Producent dorzucił materiałowe pokrowce, które chronią kontrolery przed zarysowaniami. Fajny dodatek, którego się nie spodziewałem, a naprawdę się przydaje, jeśli często gram w trybie handheld.

Miejsce na pada i docka – w środku jest specjalna przestrzeń, w którą można schować Joy-Con Grip lub pada (w tym przypadku 8BitDo). To ogromny plus, bo zwykle takie akcesoria trzeba wozić osobno. Obok jest też miejsce na Docka, więc spokojnie można zabierać konsolę na różne imprezy, tak jak ostatnio przewiozłem konsolę do rodziny, do Niemczech (uratowało święta, graliśmy całymi dniami w Just Dance / Mario Party 😅)

Organizer na gry – dostałem dwa małe pudełeczka, każde na cztery kartridże, czyli razem mam miejsce na 10 gier. Dzięki temu nie muszę taszczyć plastikowych pudełek – wszystko jest uporządkowane i łatwo dostępne. Jedyne co, to trochę trudne je się otwiera.

Dwa mini-pudełeczka na karty SD – maleństwo, ale złoto. Chroni je tak, że nie ma ryzyka zgubienia. Dla kogoś, kto trzyma część biblioteki cyfrowo i swoje złote save'y, to świetne rozwiązanie.

Pierwsze testy w podróży

Wrzuciłem Switcha do etui, dodałem kilka gier, Joy-Cony z pokrowcami i pudełeczko na kartę SD – i sprawdziłem, jak całość wygląda w plecaku. Powiem krótko: siedzi idealnie. Etui jest lekkie, poręczne i ma rączkę, więc można nosić je jak małą walizkę. Konsola nie przemieszcza się w środku, gry są bezpieczne, a dodatkowy pad też ma swoje miejsce. To nie jest tylko „pokrowiec” – to faktycznie mini-walizka dla całego zestawu Switcha. Jeżeli ktoś podróżuje, to uważam, że jest to must have. Z drugiej jednak strony, jak ktoś gra tylko w handheld, zalecałbym kupienie mniejszego etui na samą konsolę (a nie na docka, pada itd.)
