It's been a long time since I am planning to write for this community, however, I don't have much time to look for things to serve as a medium for reflection hunting as I am so busy on my work as a perimeter guard and when I am on a day off, the weather usually pose as another hindrance as it rains which makes reflection hunting an impossible task to perform as the rain causes the reflection to be blurry and can also cause damage to my phone. Not until one day when I went to the seashore one morning to have a breath of fresh sea breeze before starting my morning grind, I saw a rain puddle with a clear reflection of the objects around it.
That is when I realized that the rain puddle could be a perfect alternative medium for my reflection hunt as the sea is still rough due to incessant rains. So I kept on scanning the rain puddle to look for things that are clearly reflected on its surface and I saw this landmark with a sculptor of a surfer and adjacent to the landmark is a young coconut palm and an information signage about red and green flag that deals with safety awareness at sea.
Then at the other side of the rain puddle, the view of the kiosks that is being rented by a renowned local restaurateur can be seen. Almost all of the details of the landscape can be clearly seen as if it's not taken from accumulated rainwater on a depressed portion of the ground.
I saw another rain puddle, this time it reflects the rear view of the kiosks as well as a shade designated for guests beside it.
Before going somewhere to render my work on an undisclosed location, I took a close-up shot of the kiosks for a more detailed look at the structures.
Finally I am already near my workplace and as I walked uphill to reach my post, I saw a rain puddle that clearly define the mountainscape with the view of a tree line along the berm.
At this rain puddle, I was captivated by the reflection of these grasses. Though the water has a slight ripple, still the reflection of the sedge grasses can be seen.
Finally, this rain puddle has only casted one reflection of a tree.
This is my entry for this week's Reflection Hunting Contest # 236 hosted by @olgavita. Thanks for your patience in browsing this content and good luck to all the participants!
