Hello Hivers, Hello Community!
How’s everyone doing? Hope you’re all doing great out there. This weekend, I want to share a free-style collage I made quite a while ago. Funny thing is, this collage was actually meant to be my entry for LMAC Round 232 and I had it finished a days before the round closed. But for some reason, I just didn’t have the energy to post it back then, so it ended up sitting there without any follow-up.
And it’s not just this one. I’ve got a few other collages that are already done, but they’ve been sitting in my computer folder too, waiting quietly without ever being published or shared with you. When I checked again, I realized this piece has been finished since July. Can you believe it? It’s been there so long that I almost forgot the story behind it.
What I do remember is that the idea came to me during my commute to work. I saw a stretch of trees being cut down to clear land for a new area.
That’s where the inspiration came from for the key element in the Round 232 template: a squirrel trying to save the very last pine seed that’s left.
I’m really glad I finally get to share it with you, otherwise, it might have just stayed hidden in my folder, waiting forever without ever being shared.
