New release time for the Splinterlands land tool.
This week is all about planning and price estimations. Ever wondered what it would cost to kick off land in raw USD or DEC?
Now you can see a solid estimate inside the planner
Quick shout-out to @beelzael for the nudge. He tracks prices in a Google Sheet and asked if we could wire that logic into the planning tool so it stays updated automatically.
Totally doable. Not exactly trivial with all the edge cases like missing markets and odd variants, but once I discovered the "for sale grouped" API call the path forward clicked. I tinkered for a bit and shipped the first version.

Price Estimation – How It Works
@aftersound here is the mention, this is the part which might be interesting when your start focusing more on your land.
- Build your dream plot in the planner. Pick deed, workers, buildings, and boosts.
- The planner fetches lowest market prices and totals the needed DEC and USD.
- It includes staked DEC needed. It excludes Power Cores and Runi.
- Already operating a plot? Use Import to start from your current setup, then tweak.
You can click on the price to see more details on how the price is build up. Including the found cards
You can even pin them side by side. Put your current plot on the left and your upgraded plan on the right. Compare projected output and see the extra cost to reach that setup.
again click on the price detail. but you can also hover over the cards to see it completly
Now you can simulate for instance what if i just place 3 BCX/CC epic gold foil instead of the maxed legendary cards, more output less USD?
Assumptions and Warnings
Price estimating in a live market is messy (refreshes data every 1h). Here is what the tool does to stay useful:
- Missing deed price If the exact deed is not on market the tool will scale down the filters step by step. It first ignores geography. If still missing it drops status / rarity . You will see a warning telling you what got substituted. With hopefully an understandable message in this example the there was no Kingdom with Bog .
In details screen:
- Card option not possible If you pick a combo my calculation rules out you will get a warning. It shows which key was ditched and what was used instead to keep the estimate realistic. Also note that the low BCX/CC prices is used so it might be that the specific number bcx you want has a different price when you look it up on peakmonsters or splinterlands. Example (there is no black foil chaos legion for instance):
In detail screen:
- Runi is excluded Selecting a Runi triggers a heads up. Runi pricing lives in ETH on OpenSea and uses a different pricing flow. Not included in totals. No plans to add it at this time.
Please treat this as guidance. Always double check card and plot prices again on other sites before making decisions.
Tips to Get the Most Out of It
- Start with Import if you already own a plot. That gives you a clean baseline.
- Clone it next to a What if version. Change 1 or 2 inputs at a time.
- Watch how DEC/h and total DEC/USD move as you adjust workers or rarity.
- Use warnings as breadcrumbs to see where the market lacks listings.

⚠️ Final Note
Still just a fun hobby project. Built during late-night, caffeine-fueled coding sessions. If something breaks… ping me. I’ll fix it. Eventually. 😂
Play around with planning and price estimation. If something looks wrong, ping me with your plot settings and I will trace the calculation to see what happened.
Happy planning and good luck leveling up your land. — Beaker signing off 😀
