Greetings to everyone,
Monday's are for workshops, but yesterday was swapped for hive class. Recently, I onboarded people interested in engaging and investing in Hive, so they need to know how they can be more useful on Hive.
Venue
Getting a conducive venue for hive mentorship is not always easy because there are so many things to consider, @hubmore supermarket is at the centre of Aguda Surulere. Hence, I met with him and begged him to allow us to use his space for our class, and it will also allow us to practice shopping with hbd after the class. He agreed, and I told everyone invited where to meet. We had some old hivian with us who were still struggling with some things, like how to follow the curation trail and power up Hive and other things, so I invited them as well.
So we had @iquo, @graclyn, @martany, @iyablessing, @handsome44 @monique2, @tega0, and in our hive class.
Topics discussed
Consistency in creating both short and long form content
Most reasons why some are inactive on Hive are because they don't really have time to start writing up to 300 words, so yesterday I highlighted the beauty of trying out short content on Ecency Waves and snaps, which doesn't require up to 300 words, and the beautiful aspect is that it helps you to make new friends on Hive space.
I showed them how to create short content on Ecency Waves and snaps, and immediately, they started creating short-form content on waves.
What is power up, how to power up and benefits of powering up
The word power up sounds strange; some have been seeing it but don't really understand, so I explained to them what " power up " means, which is simply saving something out of your earnings. You still own the savings and can still power it down anytime you like.
So we agreed to start powering up every week, by next Monday we will have a record of power up.
How to participate in hive-echo and join curation trail
We also practised how to join the curation trail. I explained to them what the curation trail means and the benefits of joining the curation trail. I also taught them how to get the hive-echo folder, how to download a video of their choice, and then post it on any web2 social media and then invite three people when dropping their screenshots on the post comment. @iquo and @graclyn participated immediately.
It was fun to have them around, and honestly, it takes a lot of patience to teach adults. I don't even know how teachers cope because I don't find it funny at all, especially when I get to answer one single question over and over again.
Pictures of the day
Marketing and onboarding.
Just after our class @derequesit walked in to get her face cream and I introduced Hive to her, she accept and I onboarded her, I helped her set up her profile picture and she did her first shopping with HBD, She was very excited, she was rushing to the market so she would join our Hive class and workshop next Monday.
Classes and workshop continue
Hive needs more shoppers. Hive also needs more people who will create original content and engage consistently. Hive needs investors, so much work is needed to achieve Mass adoption for Hive. Monday's will still remain for hosting workshops and classes, while other days will be for an evening hunt for @distriator users (shoppers) and people who are interested in content creation.
Let's keep on promoting hive platform, am still @beauty197
