We had the most lovely breakfast this morning, a breakfast date to be honest; so date night but in the morning.
We'd decided to go for breakfast rather than dinner because we wanted to try a French cafe that opened up recently which we'd heard was really lovely; the food and the atmosphere was said to be quite spectacular. It was.
The cafe is right beside the river with a wide pedestrian boulevard between it at the river, so we watched people go by, rowers on the water, birds wheeling overhead but mostly we watched each other.
My guy looked super sexy in denim jeans, Carhartt t-shirt and cowboy boots and I'd dressed to ensure that he struggled to take his eyes off me and I was pleased to see my efforts were well-rewarded; he has a way of looking that, well it has to be seen to be understood. I'm glad that look is always aimed at me.

After a long breakfast we strolled along the river for an hour, crossed over a foot bridge and back on the other bank before heading over to the art gallery to see what we could find, to be surrounded by the beauty we find there and the way it feels so calming to be within those halls. It was a lovely date night even though it wasn't night at all.
