We went for a drive today and there was no set or predetermined destination, my guy pointed his truck in a direction and hit the gas which took us speeding out of town and onto roads that were surrounded by open fields and rolling vineyard-covered hills that basked in the sunlight from completely blue skies overhead. Perfect.
We knew we'd find a destination or two so didn't worry too much about where we may end up, we had a full tank of gas, I had his hand resting on my thigh and we had music on the sound system. We had everything we needed.
Over the day we found antique stores and a lovely little place for lunch, it had a rear courtyard which overlooked a valley so the views were spectacular, and we found a lot of comfort and enjoyment in each other's company. A perfect day? Perfect enough at least.

Here's another Saturday Selections installment, one of a series of posts in which I share some music I've been listening to. I know you won't like everything I select and that's ok, it's my selection after all.
This is some of the music my guy had playing on our drive, country music - which we both love - and even listening to it again now as I write this post it reminds me of the day, the drive and the way it was perfectly us if not truly actually perfect.
If you like music and want to share some with the rest of us you're free to do so and maybe you'll even help someone find some music they haven't already discovered. If you wish to use the #saturdayselections tag in the weekend experiences community that's ok too, it's a free space to do as you wish.
