Since meeting my man I've been with him through some very bad times and sometimes I wonder how we have managed to make it through some of those moments unscathed; then I remember that we haven't made it through unscathed at all, we're both scarred from those bad times.
We have had more amazing and happy times of course and it's the bad moments that make the good ones more enjoyable and worth celebrating.
Recently we marked a special occasion in our lives together and we went out, just the two of us, to celebrate; of course, took the opportunity to look special so dressed in something eye-popping I had purchased a while ago for the night and even put on a pair of heels which perfectly completed the look I was going for. I don't wear high heels much, too uncomfortable, but it was a high heels occasion and my guy appreciated it, and I appreciated his appreciation of me.

We went for dinner at a much too expensive restaurant and lingered there before going to a cosy desert bar we know of where we shared a chocolate fondue with strawberries and had some coffee as well. It was a nice night spent to the exclusion of others and I was pleased with the amount of attention I got from that man of mine, although he always gives me a lot of attention; he got me a lovely gift too and he loved what I got him in return.
Looking back on our time together I can only say I've been fortunate to have met him and to be the girl he pours his heart and soul into and I think he's fortunate in return to have me; he tells me so all the time.
This weekend we're extending the feeling with a drive into the country for a hike and later we're cooking dinner together before we settle in to read and watch some of the show we're currently enjoying - A relaxing weekend, and I'm really looking forward to creating some more memories for us to celebrate in the future.
