Splinterlands - I need more Glint to get my next draw and feed my addiction

Splinterlands prizes are keeping alive the warrior spirit in this realm and everyone is on the hunt for Glint. Looking under each stone on the battlefield for the precious gem, fighting fiercely and winning is what gets me closer to my next Draw of Rewards cards. Sometimes I get exhausted from fighting and my energy almost gets negative, thus I need to rest until I can go back into the ring. But I am planning my moves and whenever I can I even go and buy more Energy to satisfy my hunger for new cards to max them out. The extra Energy bought allows me to keep battling. If that is enough and I have more cards beyond the maxed ones, sometimes I even dare to burn the extra soulbound reward cards to get more more Glint. And from there things are simply as I go on a shopping spree. And to tell you the truth I like that I have these many ways of earning Glint in order to get more reward cards and max out the ones that help me on the battlefield.

Earn Glint from Ranked battles

For me the ranked battles are where the real fighting begins. Every match is a challenge for me where I need to mix strategy, luck and the excitement of seeing my opponent crumble under a forceful attack. Winning doesn’t just give me energy, but it gets me valuable SPS and Glint that I can use in the Shop. The more I climb the ranks, the more valuable the reward cards get from the Chest that I can open and the soulbound cards simply strengthen my formations. Sometimes I end up taking quite of bit of time to prepare the battle, check the rules and use my top warriors in order to make sure I win and get more SPS and Glint. In time this becomes addictive, but in the best way possible as it forces me to do my best and strategy to win in any given conditions.

Buy Energy, battle more, win more, get more Glint

The "Energy drinks" are the fuel for my Splinterlands addiction. When my free Energy runs dry, I sometimes end up buying extra one in order to keep the battles rolling. I know that each fight is a chance to grab more Glint and grow my cards collection. There’s a strange feeling in seeing my energy bar tick down while my Glint stash climbs higher as I simply want more, but I get limited by it. In the end this offers me some breathing time and I end up enjoying this cycle of effort and reward as it keeps me coming motivated to come back day after day.

Get Glint from burning extra soulbound reward cards

From advancing to one league or the other and from drawing cards that I already have, is not a failure, but another way to get more Glint (through burning them) and keep the shopping spree rolling. If I think about it, burning extra soulbound cards felt a little sacrilegious at first, but after that I got used to it and I am quite fine with this routine. When I have duplicates or extras of reward cards as other are already maxed up, turning the rest into Glint feels like alchemy. This ensures some scarcity of the rewards cards and also give me some more Glint to draw new cards and improve my collection of cards where some are still missing. This kind of mechanics has so many win-win features and it is a great balancing method in the game.

At the end of the day, I am chasing both SPS and Glint in Splinterlands as they both have their utility and allow me to grow in the game. Between ranked battles, energy boosts and burning extra cards, the ways to earn Glint are quite diversified. I’m hooked not just on the rewards but on me thinking that pushing a little bit harder will get me at the end more cards. Every Glint earned brings me closer to that next targeted Rewards cards, which after adding to my collection simply strengthen me on the battlefield. And in the end if I get a better winning rate, that means I can climb faster and higher the rankings in the Splinterlands where better rewards are waiting.
