This is me: Julia, 26 year old, Munich child (that's what locals would call someone born in Munich with parents born in Munich aswell) and absolute eager to discover the world! The travel bug bit me when I decided to travel Australia with a Working Holiday visa after Highschool. This was so far one of the best things I've ever experienced. I met so many awesome and friendly people from the whole world who all had one thing in common: that never ending wanderlust!
Career: Back in Germany I studied "something with media" and ended up being a Communications Manager for a big startup. I loved the startup culture: team events, welcome gifts, friday drinks, winter skiing trips, breakfast, home-office and so on! But as I’m not that morning person and get this annually winter depression - honestly I feel like sky is grey 9 months a year - I wanted to be more flexible regarding working hours and location. That’s when I started researching about alternative working models and first got in contact with the term “digital nomad”.
Professional reorientation: Currently I'm consuming everything I can find about that lifestyle and trying to arrange my aimed future freelance career as a Webdesigner with online courses. Why Webdesigner? I always wanted to study design, but didn’t because so many people told me it had no future. If I had that choice again, I would definitely do it, as it’s just more my passion even though it’s maybe not that reasonable - and studying “something with media” isn’t reasonable aswell right?
My content: I want to share my way to an alternate working lifestyle with you aswell as tips and tricks for working remotely. But especially I would like to share my travel experiences and hope you will like it.

Das bin ich: Julia, 26 Jahre alt, Münchener Kindl mit einem riesigen Drang die Welt zu entdecken! Das Reisefieber hat mich damals nach dem Abi gepackt, als ich beschloss mich mit einem Work and Travel Visum auf nach Australien zu machen. Bis heute, war diese eine der besten Erfahrungen meines Lebens! Ich habe so viele tolle und freundliche Menschen aus der ganzen Welt kennengelernt, die alle eins gemeinsam hatten: eine unstillbare Lust zu Reisen!
Job: Zurück in Deutschland habe ich "Irgendwas mit Medien" studiert und wurde schließlich Communications Managerin in einem großen Startup. Ich habe die Startup Kultur geliebt: Team Event, Willkommens-Geschenke, Feierabend-Drinks am Freitag, Skitrips im Winter, Frühstück, Home-Office und so weiter! Aber weil ich nicht so der Morgenmensch bin und jedes Jahr diese bekannte Winterdepression bekomme - ernsthaft, der Himmel ist gefühlt neun Monate grau - wollte ich immer gerne mehr Flexibilität bei den Arbeitszeiten und -orten. Das war der Moment als ich begann über alternative Arbeitsmodelle zu recherchieren und erstmals mit dem Begriff "Digitale Nomaden" in Kontakt kam.
Neuorientierung: Im Moment verschlinge ich alles, was ich über diesen Lifestyle finden kann und versuche meine gewünschte zukünftige Freelance-Karriere als Webdesignerin mit Online Kursen anzuleiten. Warum Webdesign? Ich wollte immer gerne Grafikdesign studieren, habe es allerdings nie getan, weil mir damals so viele Leute gesagt haben, dass es ein Job ohne Zukunft sei. Wenn ich noch einmal wählen könnte, würde ich es definitiv machen, weil es mir einfach Spaß macht, auch wenn es vielleicht unvernünftig ist - und "Irgendwas mit Medien" zu studieren ist auch nicht vernünftig, stimmt's?
Meine Inhalte: Auf Steemit möchte ich gerne meinen Weg in diesen alternativen Lifestyle mit euch teilen sowie auch Tipps und Tricks über das ortsunabhängige Arbeiten. Aber vor allem möchte ich meine Reise-Erfahrungen mit euch teilen und hoffe sie gefallen euch!
