Making Time

So, things haven't exactly been honky dory in the past few months. At the moment, we have shifted our focus to relocating to Canada and this effectively means starting all over again.

I'm looking forward to putting all this immigration stress behind me. Sadly, to get there, we will have to once again dig deep into our resources to move.

Ever since the immigration changes, I have felt a disconnect between myself and the society. I generally have an overwhelming distaste for everything in the place and feel unwelcomed.

For what it is worth, I don't hold people responsible for my feelings because they are mine to bear. However, I do feel like the government is a reflection of the population and as such, I'm in this mental place where I feel like the people living here don't actually want me to be here.

It hasn't been all bad, in the grand scheme of things. I have been able to get a couple of years of corporate work experience under my belt and can now confirm that I indeed do not like it,

We have also been able to save a bit of money but most of that will go towards our move to Canada. From what I hear and read, things aren't exactly rosy over there and getting a job may not be a walk in the park.

We'll have to depend on our savings for a while and that may vary between days to months, depending on my luck. One thing for sure is that this is the final hurdle in the way. Once we move to Canada, we're done with moving.

SO, anyway, for now, we're just focusing on maximising our time and getting our affairs in order. I'm optimistic about our chances and well, time will tell.
