We definitely had a busy week at the box. I was exhausted but satisfied. Looking back on my progress, I feel like I'm doing really well 👍. I know that the best way to assess performance is to track times systematically. However, I think we can also evaluate empirically. Obviously, I want to make progress in this area of tracking and I'm determined to do so. Our coach often repeats: The WOD requires time. In other words, the stopwatch should be part of training for many reasons. In a HIIT-type WOD, keeping track of times allows us to maintain the proper intensity of the workout, ensure precise rest periods to optimize performance, clearly measure progress, and prevent injuries. Let's not forget the basic rules. The WODs performed on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday of this week required intense and complete physical effort. This hard work allowed Thursday to be strategically devoted to an active rest routine, promoting recovery without losing continuity in training. The WOD included 10-, 12-, and 15-minute AMRAPs. Each AMRAP included three types of exercises: burpees, box jumps, pull-ups, push-ups, shoulder taps, military presses, among others.

Yoga Thursday
On Thursday, I felt tired, but I still decided to do some mobility exercises, stretching, and running. I left home at six in the morning and finished at half past seven. It was a necessary routine to unwind. In the afternoon, I didn't hesitate to join my second in-person therapeutic yoga class. The space chosen was great. The connection with nature takes me away from noise, pollution, pessimistic thoughts, and even physical pain. The first thing we did was relaxation techniques. We continued with mobility exercises for the wrists, hands, shoulders, feet, fingers, neck, and knees. My body was already beginning to feel the results and improved with the suggested postures. I had only practiced yoga exercises with tutorials, never in person. It's one thing to believe that we are doing the work well and another to be in front of an expert guiding the process. I was fascinated by the support of the facilitator, who is an excellent professional and led the activity as we had hoped. I left feeling renewed.

Friday and Sunday Hiking
It was a full weekend. Although it may seem otherwise, hiking always satisfies my needs. Feeling the sweat all over my body as I walk nonstop until I reach my goal has become an addiction. Last week, I climbed Cerro Ávila via the Sabas Nieve trail in forty minutes. Today, I improved my time, climbing it in thirty minutes. When I got to the mountain gym, I wanted to do some exercises, but then I stopped because tomorrow is a new day. The idea was to enjoy the moment without pushing myself too hard, hehe. That's all for this week. Thank you for your attention and your comments.¡Gracias por leer, comentar y votar!
