Several years ago, out of frustration with increasing costs of haircuts in the City I started cutting my partner Owen's hair. It has been one of the most rewarding and fun creative things to do and brings us closer. When our dragon child Dia came along, they were only too happy to line up for a Mama cut and style as well. Home haircuts go well with our DIY urban homesteading lifestyle. It is satisfying to have one less thing to pay for, especially when one only one of us has a 9-5.
I'm feeling proud of today's results. Owen got a cleaner cut, with some fun swirls on the sideburns and front. Dia got a new undercut and fancy snake shaped braid up top. Now, if I could only cut my own...
Note: My background is civil engineering and not art, so I was at first very reluctant to cut and style, but it has been really fun. Here they are today!
