### English _______ # Where are we headed with the use of AI? ______ I think AI is an amazing tool, but I can't help asking myself the question: “Where are we headed?” A few years ago, I watched the series Black Mirror for the first time, which brought us extreme but potential realities. Absurd realities with a focus on technological advances that are almost predatory to the human mind and the feelings that make us human. Absurd but possible realities, and it took a lot of imagination to understand that those scenarios could be closer than we think. In my opinion, Black Mirror is not science fiction.

Black Mirror desde mi punto de vista, no es ciencia ficción.

I have found myself talking to Chat GPT about my personal life too many times, asking for advice and reading very carefully what this software objectively tells me, without letting beliefs or feelings cloud its objectivity. Likewise, as someone who loves to write, I have found myself asking it numerous times to perfect an email or help me give a letter a more formal or friendly tone. At those moments, I have asked myself: what is happening to me? And that question has been followed by: what will happen to the writers of the world? Will children be born who genuinely grow up wanting to write? Or will it now be the norm to train AI to write for us?

Personally, I am quite pro-technology and I believe that technology has enabled people to expand on many different levels. However, I can't help but wonder how far we will go with this. What will begin to be real, and where will our skills end up? What will become of art and authenticity if we now turn to AI for ideas, guidance, and excellence? Whose eyes will judge creations, and how long will the audience be real if we are already faced with an algorithm that directs content to specific groups of viewers?

The pandemic forced us to turn inward, which many of us felt was positive. But during this journey, the reality of artificial minds that inhabit a void began to emerge, causing us to close ourselves off even more. A few months ago, there was a blackout in Spain, which highlighted the human need to socialize, to express ourselves, to be much more than just a screen. And I think that's what we have to lose. If we all embraced AI as a resource and not as a filter for being part of a creative or working world, then we could stay close to our true human essence. But this “if we all did it” is very similar to “if we all took care of the environment.” The easy way wins out, and AI simplifies too many processes to ignore. What we are left with is to trust that today's generations will seek to preserve feelings, emotions, and real experiences and that we will seek to pass them on to future generations, so that they do not base their human experience solely on bots.

Pero en este viaje empezó a nacer la realidad de unas mentes artificiales que habitan en una nada y que nos hacen incluso cerrarnos más. > Recientemente hubo un apagón en España, hace unos meses, en donde se evidenció la necesidad humana de sociabilizar, de expresarse, de ser mucho más allá de la pantalla. > Y creo que es eso lo que lo tenemos que perder. Si todos abrazáramos a las IA como un recurso y no como un filtro para ser parte de un mundo creativo o laboral, entonces podríamos mantenernos cerca de nuestra verdadera esencia humana. > Pero este “si todos lo hiciéramos” es muy parecido a “si todos cuidáramos el medio ambiente”. > Lo fácil nos puede, y la IA simplifica demasiados procesos como para ignorarla. > Lo que nos queda es confiar en que las generaciones de hoy busquemos preservar las sensaciones, las emociones, las experiencias reales y que busquemos transmitirlas a las generaciones venideras, para que no basen su experiencia humana en bots únicamente.
