--- Hello everyone!!! I hope you are well or are trying to be well. I am fine. Today I want to talk to you about something I finished just 10 minutes ago. As you can tell from the cover and the title, it's an octopus. The idea of making a friend for Cub suddenly came to mind, so I tried it.  ---  --- The materials I use are as follows. I use 100 grams of cotton amigurumi yarn. I have used this yarn in my previous [cardigan](https://peakd.com/hive-127911/@bemier/crocheting-my-own-autumn-cardigan) and [bag](https://peakd.com/hive-127911/@bemier/crochet-in-cotton-and-care) projects. We have a love-hate relationship with this yarn. Although the end result is wonderful, the knitting process is quite painful due to the threads. For this octopus, which will essentially consist of a head and tentacles, we'll start with a magic loop. I'll now write down a row list that might be easier for both you and me, until something changes.

I forgot to mention, but I'm using a 4.5 mm crochet hook. Generally, this yarn is suitable for 3-3.5 mm, but I wanted to make my work a bit easier.  --- ---  --- The next step is Back Loop Only, meaning we will only work the back loop. Again, there will be 36 hdc, but they must all be blo. This was the tricky part for me, to be honest. My hook being too big for my hand was a problem, but I finished this row somehow, for better or worse. When it was finished, it looked like the picture above.
### Eyes  --- ---  --- --- You could use a pair of plastic eyes if you like, but I decided to save a bit of extra budget for this. So I made two small circles using the 6-ring magic loop. Using a crochet hook, I pulled the extra threads out from the inside and tied them securely so they wouldn't move. This step was quite easy compared to the other parts. I'm talking about tying them 😂 Of course, since I made the magic ring a bit tighter than usual, it rose quite high, so I tried to stabilise it a bit more with a needle.  --- ---  --- Here I will give another sequence list, but this time it will be for decreasing rather than increasing. You need to stop at a suitable point and fill it in, but not completely full. Just enough to give you some space. It's quite difficult to continue crocheting when it's empty, especially if you're close to finishing. - Eleventh Row: hdc, hdc, hdc, hdc, invisible decrease, total 30 - Twelfth Row: hdc, hdc, hdc, decr, total 24 - Thirteenth Row: hdc, hdc, dec, total 18 - Fourteenth Row: hdc, dec, total 12 - Fifteenth Row: dec, total 6
### Mouth  --- ---  ---  --- To be honest, I have no idea how to explain this part to you. From the lower section, which we haven't closed yet, you need to pull the needle out from the inside to the outside and move it towards the right. Then, you need to exit from the end point of the mouth (probably centred) and turn the needle once around the straight line formed at the top, then exit again from where we first entered. I don't know how understandable this is to you, but I want you to know that I've done my best. After tucking the remaining thread into the inside, it's time to close it up. It's quite easy to close the gap with a needle after cutting the thread, leaving it a little long. It's especially easy after dropping down to 6 with the crochet hook.
### Legs  --- ---  ---  --- Now it's time for the legs. For this, the 45 chains you left extra at the beginning and end will suffice. This may seem a bit long at first, but instead of making all the legs individually, we will use this 45-chain section for two legs. After threading a needle through one of the extra pieces of yarn you left at the beginning and end, you can add the legs by threading them through the desired areas from the inside. I added them like the corners of a hexagon to make it look more proportionate, but you may not want to make it perfect.
