Another ensemble project bringing me to one of the Australian big cities... and like each time this year, I've taken the opportunity to spend some of unused per-diem food money on visiting the silver shop. It is quite amazing the run that silver has had this year... at the start of the year, I would be picking up easily four ounces of silver... and would have a huge box of buyback silver to choose from. Now, the same amount of cash doesn't cover 3 ounces, and the selection of pieces in the buyback box is significantly poorer...
... I probably should have just walked out again after seeing the selection of silver in the box... there wasn't anything interesting at all... mostly the common ones, eagles and philharmonic ones. And the price was much more than I wanted to spend... there was a large spike in the days before already, and if I was rational, it would be better to sell things rather than buy them.
Still... once you are there... it is hard not to walk away with something. So, I figured I would pick up a few pieces to see if I could sell them when I got back home.
There were quite a few examples of the three that I ended up picking... the British stuff one, Aquaman (really, does anyone rate him as one of the superheroes?), and the Emperor Penguin. Out of all of these, Aquaman is the first to go... but I'm sort of partial to the other two in the end... I do like the Penguin!

So, all of them have their reverse being slightly different... I didn't realise the British things one was not a government issued one.... but there you go! I had thought I'd seen that one around, and I could have sworn that it was a Queen thing... but nope! Or did I mix them up when I flipped them?
Anyway, the other two had the Queen in different afterimages... still looking good!
