A completely new hotel this time in the central city area of Surry Hills. I often stay in this area... but not in this place, and my internal map of the area is also a bit patchy and turned around. It starts to all connect together, and it turns out that I've stayed in quite a few places really close by to here, but I hadn't really quite twigged that they were all so close to gether!
Anyway, the ADGE is a nice seeming place... very very colourful...

The decor is definitely an acquired taste... but at least it is all clean and fresh. But after a while... the decor does start to fade into the background. It is bright, but I sort of like it!

... at the very least, it is a welcome change to the drab, dark, and dirty looking corridors of other places. I do like the brighter lighting of the corridor... I sort of do get sick of these corridor areas being dimly lit with no windows as well.

Everything in the room is painfully trendy... a SMEG mini-fridge... but unfortunately, no cooking facilities. Looks like I will be eating out and spending more of my food allowance than I had hoped.

The carpet is a bit much to walk around on... and the trendy design of the seat means that it isn't really that functional to sit on... the legs stick out a long way from the seating basket, and trip you up when you get up from the seat!

The shower and bathroom cubicle is sort of transparent... this would be much more fun if I was travelling with my wife, but as it is, it is just another interesting curiosity in the design choice for this hotel!
And the last thing, there is cheap parking in the hotel basement as well. Forty dollars a night!?!?!? Most places are around 100 dollars a night, and so I might just bring in my car from the outer suburbs of Sydney so that I can make a quick getaway on weekend.
