On a recent trip to the big smoke, I was put up in this set of serviced apartments right in the middle of Sydney itself. Crazily close to Chinatown, the CBD, and most importantly Central station... this place had location cornered!
So, as I walked up to the building... it was a bit non-descript... the entrance looks more like an office building entrance. And not a fancy one either... so, I actually passed the entrance a couple of times before I noticed the cunningly hidden signboard.

After checking in at a small desk, I went upstairs to my apartment room. Yes, this is pretty simple sort of affair... not terrible, I've definitely been in worse, but still a touch on the spartan side of things for a business and not an Airbnb.

So, the place is a one room sort of thing... a large bed in the middle of the room and a little entertainment area rounding out the living quarters.

... and turning around, a small kitchenette. Everything was clean and useable... but for some reason the fridge/freezer was turned off at the wall... I lost some ice cream to this oversight before I noticed and switched it back on. Nothing dramatic, but annoying...

And outside, a medium sized balcony overlooking the very busy city street. Great if you feel like watching the night-time foot traffic... but in what is one of my biggest gripes about this place... the door and frame were not well sealed... and that meant that all the street noise makes it straight into the apartment... very annoying when you need to sleep!

... and you can see straight into the office buildings as well!
So, APX... nothing too fancy, but functional... but sadly, the lack of good sound insulation for the large window balcony and door made the whole experience very very frustrating... I don't think I would choose to stay here again.
