Honestly, I hate that the American Democrats made such a hash (haha...) of their interaction and response to cryptocurrencies. It sort of meant that anyone who wasn't actively anti-crypto would be hailed as the crypto-messiah... and... we got the Trump family.
It is one of those false dichotomy things... being anti-anti-crypto... doesn't make you pro-crypto. And I really honestly thought that we would have a bit of a false Messiah thing going on here when Trump was elected... the memecoins and the NFTs... it all smacked of the regular scamming and grifting that was all over crypto in every cycle... and now, crime is legal.
However, there is something completely satisfying and vaguely amusing that the cryptosphere scammers have met the traditional world scammers... and finding that scammers will just scam everyone! In fact, it is seriously hilarious! Suddenly locked and blacklisted pre-sale tokens... using non-existent money to pump price of deceptively low float with high concentrations... It is all bad bad bad...
... and I fear that this is what most people will take away from crypto... that it is essentially crime made legal. And that the incoming backlash will hinder efforts to build a better digital ecosystem.
Just because some people can't bring themselves to stop grifting and scamming...
Still... I'm pragmatic... World Liberty Financial is a bit of a useless maybe-fork of Aave (more controversy there)... with a stablecoin that might be backed...
... but I'm not the person who decides what tokens are worth... so a small market purchase in the last day... and then stink bids all the way down to the presale price. I figure when our old Steem friend has his tokens unlocked, he is going to be PISSED!
