Its a new week and i’m glad to be dropping an entry as always. Its a great pleasure to be here, all thanks to @lordbutterfly @verbal-d @silentscreamer
This week, i decide to do an original, tittled Malaika. Malaika is a Yoruba word that simply means “Angel” in English word. This song was born as a result of project given to me—I was supposed to sing the song at a movie premiere, Malaika movie by Toyin Abraham who is one a big movie star in Nigeria.
While writting the song, i got emotional and just poured out my heart as a form of prayer which is the lyrics of the song, not derailing from the story of the movie.
The movie talks about a barren woman that yearned for child by doing everything in her power but to no avail. She eventually gave birth realizing that its God that gives children.
I really pour our soul to this rendition with a few background vocals to add life to the delivery artistically. I am glad to share this and i hope you all enjoy it and hope thst the lyrics speaks volume to you all❤️.
