Hello there, Blockchain Foodies!
During my stay at Nathi's place, I had the privilege of getting some homemade food made by her and her aunt. One day, I got breakfast at noon. That was weird but cool at the same time. I also went grocery shopping with Laurys, her wife.
We went for eggs and cheese. When we came back, Nathi was already cooking. She was waiting for the eggs for her famous scrambled eggs with leek. I had never had such a thing.
The idea is to cook the leek with enlugh salt to avoid adding any to the eggs. Besides that, she uses a folding technique similar to that of omelette's to create folds and have scrambled whites and scrambled yolks. It was a treat to watch her cook.
And of course, a Venezuela breakfast cannot be complete without some arepas. This is an invention of the country. It is called Tosti Arepa. It is basically the same thing as a waffle maker except it makes small arepas. It is a way to cook perfect arepas everytime if you do not trust your rounding skills.
All this was topped off with some white cheese. The breakfast was amazing and we also spent time talking about many other things. The best part was getting all the leftovers. That's always the treat of eating with friends! But having breakfast made like this in front of me was even better. I gotta visit her more often.
