Hello there, coffee lovers!
Rainy days are a drag around here. Let's start by the fact that when it rains, many things stop. Transportation is the first thing to disappear. It seems not only people believe they are made of sugar, but buses get into this as well. It is a common happening. Having a really bad drain sewage system makes this problem worse. The other bad part that is linked to the previous is that many avenues and streets get flooded. This problem extends to some houses.
When rain gets heavy, some of the mound that divides parts of the city also comes down into the streets as mud. This mud then dries up the next day and we have dusty streets. This dust makes people sick. Rain is nice and all, but it makes our lives even worse when it comes down during the Tropical Waves seasons. However, rainy days also make for good days to go for a coffee. This is especially true if one can get on a bus before they all disappear.

So I went on a coffee date with the usual partner to have our usual talk and black coffee. That day we were combined in almost the same hue of green. The outfit matching was something that happened as a struck of luck. @octocel was showing me some of the photos she took during a recent trip to the peninsula. She took the scenic route during a trip of the project Cumana Verde that is trying to make planting more trees all over the State.
The route to Guayacan, one of the many towns in the Araya's Peninsula, is a interesting showcase of the different kinds of vegetation that cover the land. Also, many things start to change when you go past Cariaco's Gulf. Water gets a more intense color when your watching the open sea. You can see patches of one kind of vegetation on one side of the road and patches of a different kind on the other side. I remember taking that trip once a long time ago. I was still in Elementary school. That trip was nice until the battery of the car died and we had to wait for a crane to come pick us up to get back to the city on the next ferry. It was a bad ending to a really cool experience of knowing some of the beauties of the land where I grew up.
In the photos, I saw some familiar places and also others that were quite different. On that day, we also had some frozen yogurt from a new place at the mall. And then we went over more of the photos and had a good chat while enjoying a cup of coffee. And we were having such a good time that I did not miss my chance to get some selfies in the mix. Also, to show the good matching colors of our outfits.
And between the sips of coffee, we spend the time retelling some of our experiences during our respective trips. In my case, I made some recollections of the memories I could recall. Something we agreed on was the beauty of the landscapes. Also, having so much light is a wonderful time to learn some more things about photography and how to adjust your camera to take the right shots.
