Hola, me alegra volver por aquí para esta vez participar en la nueva iniciativa del Día de la Paz. Mi motivo para ese día será un bandolero con una imagen alusiva al amor y la paz. Este bandolero es básicamente una cartera que se usa de lado del cuerpo y me hizo recordar a esa época en la que estaban de moda los Beatles. Las personas hippies usaban bolsos artesanales y sus accesorios eran de amor y paz. Este bandolero lo voy a hacer con retazos de tela que siempre tengo por allí, ya que yo trabajo en la costura. Se puede decir que soy costurera, pero también sé diseñar y, cuando estoy de buenos ánimos, hago manualidades.

This bandolier is basically a wallet worn on the side of the body, and it reminded me of the era when the Beatles were all the rage. Como primer paso, voy a dibujar el diseño de amor y paz sobre una hoja de papel para, ahora sí, poder recortarlo y luego marcarlo sobre la tela blanca. También recorté dos flores de color rosado de la tela de flores. Ya con el diseño preparado, voy a pasar ahora a recortar el bandolero.

Para hacer el bandolero, será en forma de rectángulo, con una medida de 20 cm de alto y 15 cm de ancho. No será muy grande; será de tamaño mediano. Luego de cortar el rectángulo, pasé a coser primero el diseño, con una costura de zigzag. Después, empecé a coserle el cierre en la parte superior y, ya después, a coser las partes delantera y trasera del bandolero, cosiendo por los laterales. En la parte de abajo, doblé 3 centímetros hacia arriba y lo cosí por los laterales; así quedará con forma y tendrá un poco de anchura.
