Nigeria my country Nigeria is indeed a blessed country to blessed with beautiful people and like natural resources petroleum ,coal ,crude oil and so many others Nigeria is a beautiful country which is colorful very bright and cheerful filled with wildlife and so many beautiful places for the eyes to see. We have about 300 ethnic groups in Nigeria.
This is my entry for high learners weekly contest second edition and the topic says (MY DEAR COUNTRY). Oh my dear country Nigeria, the land that flows with milk and honey despite all the trials and tribulations that we have passed the killings that have been going on between us, one thing we do is so we stand strong and stand for each other.
I'm not one to do long distance traveling but am a Nigerian and I live in Nigeria I've been to some places and I've seen that we really have a beautiful country ,if you get to places like Abuja and Lagos you will see the rocks, the beautiful scenery and the waterfalls indeed my country is blessed. Have you come down to our traditions our culture our food , especially our Nigerian party jellof ,jellof that mends broken hearts🙂. How we express ourselves our by our dressing, our beads, how we show respect eachother in our different ethnic groups honestly they are places that you would go to and you see them practicing their culture and traditions and you will fall in love all over and over again. We have beautiful people in Nigeria, we have beautiful dishes in Nigeria, we have beautiful native dishes in Nigeria, we also beautiful cultural attires from the Yoruba to the hausa to Igbos and fulanis the are all beautiful and awesome.
One good thing about my country in Nigeria is that the truth is the struggle in this country is real, is very real I won't lie to you at all, I won't even sugarcoat it a lot of people are suffering we are not being paid well lack of employment and so many other things that are hitting us from left right center is not just Nigeria that is going through some setbacks a lot of country are going through a lot of setbacks too but I am a Nigerian and the young adult and I can relate so well to what we pass through in our country a lot of other countries look down on us like we are not worth it like we are lazy people who don't take their life seriously they just feel like you're not putting in enough effort.
But my people we are definitely trying our best we are definitely trying our best. One bad thing we are known for is corruption is the order of the day in Nigeria nationwide anywhere in this world international that is what you will hear people say corruption is the other of the day the government is bad the educational system is bad and the list goes on yes some of these things are true and the truth be told that fact has affected our country in the very bad way. You see politicians send their children to go abroad to go and study why because the truth is that the educational system here is nothing to write home about but regardless we lovely beautiful Nigerians always find the way to make it past every day creating our own happiness and making our lives a little bit easy for us.
You know one thing I always say Nigerians and cruise , everything na cruise for my country because tell me why you will go out fight with the bus conductor meet your boss that will over labour you and at the end of the day you come back and carry your phone and you see our people creating contents for us comedy videos, dance videos ,a lot of other entertaining videos and you will see yourself forgetting about all the the troubles that you had during the day and you laugh out loud and ease of your stress.
I will always tell people if you're in Nigeria just have data I'm depression has nothing on you you get, that is how lovely my country can be we create our own happiness we embrace our struggles and we still come out victorious at the end.
