Awww, I'll tell you everything that happened to my sister and me yesterday because I really need to vent somehow, and I feel like Hive is an ideal space since we hang out here with a lot of people with good energy and advice that can help in some way, even if it's just with words of encouragement. >Hola Hola, gente de internet! ¿Cómo están? Awww les contaré todo lo que nos sucedió a mi hermana y a mi el día de ayer porque realmente necesito desahogarme de alguna manera, y siento que Hive es un espacio ideal ya que aquí convivimos muchas personas con buenas energías y consejos que de alguna manera pueden ayudar, así sea con palabras de aliento.
It turns out that yesterday, just like every Tuesday, my sister and I were getting ready to do all the errands we can only run on that day: buy a few things we need; go to the bank, do some grocery shopping, etc. For that we used my EBK electric scooter, which by the way, at the time I shared with you the entire purchase process, like every week I was paying the installments until I was finally able to pick it up from the dealership. Yesterday, when we were on our way to do the shopping, my sister and I heard a strange noise coming from the rear wheel, so we stopped by the side of the road to see what it was. Then we realized that the tire was completely flat, so no way around it, we had to drag the bike to a place where they could refill the tire.
Resulta que ayer, tal como todos los martes, mi hermana y yo nos disponíamos a hacer todas las diligencias que solo podemos ese día: comprar algunas cosas que necesitemos; ir al banco, hacer las compras del supermercado, etc, para eso usamos mi bicimoto eléctrica EBK, que por cierto, en su momento yo compartí con ustedes todo el proceso de compra, como cada semana yo iba pagando las cuotas hasta que finalmente pude retirarla de la agencia. Ayer, cuando íbamos de camino a hacer las compras, mi hermana y yo escuchamos un ruido extraño que venía de la rueda trasera, así que nos detuvimos a orilla del camino para ver de qué se trataba, entonces nos dimos cuenta que la llanta estaba desinflada totalmente, así que ni modo, nos tocó llevar la bici arrastrándola hasta un lugar donde pudieran volver a llenar de aire la rueda.
The guy who helped us, very kindly by the way, advised us to buy some tire sealant, so obviously we took him at his word and paid for the additional service because we wanted to make sure everything was okay, and fortunately it was, since we didn't have any more problems with the wheel.
El chico que nos atendió, muy amablemente por cierto, nos aconsejó comprar un sellador de llantas, así que obviamente le tomamos la palabra y pagamos por el servicio adicional porque queríamos asegurarnos de que todo estuviese bien, y afortunadamente así fue, ya que no volvimos a tener problemas con la rueda.
The problem arose later when we were about to continue on our way, when the motorbike suddenly stopped accelerating. In fact, the accelerator wasn’t reacting. It started perfectly but the accelerator wasn’t working, so obviously the motorbike wasn’t moving forward. To top it all off, the accelerator was loose and half-isolated. So, as best we could, my sister and I dragged the motorbike back to somewhere where they could help us. We found one that offered to help us: Agencia de Motos Vera. Although they mostly work with traditional (gasoline) motorcycles, they at least offered a solution for mine. However, after spending so much time there, deliberating to find out what was happening, it turns out that the part I show you in the photo was damaged, and since it was too late, we couldn’t get it. I asked directly to the agency where I bought it since they are the manufacturers, and they told me they didn’t know if they had it and that they would give me an answer the next day. Meanwhile, my sister walked to the bank, but when she arrived, there was a scuffle at the doors 🤦♀. People were pushing each other to get in, so the security guard wouldn't let anyone in until they got their act together. Inside, there were tons of people, and only two tellers were working at the counters, but she was finally able to withdraw some cash.
El problema surgió después ya que mientras nos disponíamos a continuar el camino, de pronto la bicimoto dejó de acelerar, en realidad el acelerador no reaccionaba, ella encendía perfectamente pero el acelerador no funcionaba, así que obviamente la bicimoto no avanzaba, para colmo el acelerador estaba flojo, medio aislado, así que como pudimos, mi hermana y yo llevamos de nuevo a rastras a la bicimoto en busca de algún lugar donde pudieran atendernos, y conseguimos uno donde se ofrecieron ayudarnos: Agencia de Motos Vera, que aunque mayormente trabajan con motos tradicionales (a gasolina), al menos ofrecieron una solución para la mía, pero luego de pasar tanto tiempo allí, deliberando para dar con lo que sucedía, resulta que esta pieza que les muestro en la foto está dañada y como ya era tarde no pudimos conseguirla, pregunté directamente a la agencia donde la compré ya que son fabricantes y me dijeron que no sabían si la tenían, que me darían respuesta el día siguiente. Mientras tanto mi hermana se fue al banco a pie pero cuando llegó había una trifulca en las puertas 🤦♀, la gente se empujaba para tratar de entrar, así que el vigilante no dejaba pasar a nadie, hasta que se organizaron y pudieron hacerlo. Adentro había muchísima gente y solo estaban atendiendo dos cajeros en las taquillas, pero finalmente pudo sacar algo de dinero en efectivo.
And so, today I'm setting out to get the part I need. I hope they give me a positive response and that it won't cost me a fortune, and that the installation service won't cost me much either. To top it all off, while I was towing the motorcycle, I twisted my ankle. So yesterday was a very frustrating day for my sister and me: the situation, the uncertainty, the stress, and the heat had us on the verge of collapse. But anyway, today I'm looking at everything from an optimistic perspective since it's a new day. I also appeal to my faith and trust in God that everything will turn out as well as possible.
Y pues, hoy me dispongo a conseguir la pieza que necesito, espero que me den respuesta positiva y que no me salga cara, y que de igual manera no me salga caro el servicio de instalación. Para colmo mientras yo llevaba la moto arrastrándola me torcí el tobillo, así ayer que fue un día muy frustrante para mi y para mi hermana: la situación, la incertidumbre, el estrés y el calor nos tenían al borde del colapso, pero en fin, hoy miro todo desde el optimismo ya que es un nuevo día, y además apelo a mi fe y confianza en Dios para que todo salga lo mejor posible.
