Hello hello, people of the internet! How are you? Today I want to share with you my opinion about a movie I saw recently, it's an adaptation of a video game, which honestly I don't know, so I can't say how accurate the adaptation is, anyway the plot of the movie hooked me from the beginning and I found it very interesting... except for the ending and some other issues 😕 but obviously I won't go into too many details about the ending so as not to ruin the experience for you in case you want to see it. >¡Hola Hola, gente de internet! ¿Cómo están? Hoy quiero compartir con ustedes mi opinión acerca de una película que vi recientemente, se trata de la adaptación de un videojuego, el cuál honestamente no conozco, así que no puedo precisar que tan acertada es la adaptación, de todos modos la trama de la película me enganchó al inicio y me pareció muy interesante... a excepción del final y de otros asuntitos 😕 pero obviamente no entraré en demasiados detalles del final para no arruinar la experiencia de ustedes en caso de que deseen verla.
It's about three friends: Yū, Haru and Kotona, who is Yū's girlfriend, although Haru (who can't walk and is in a wheelchair) is silently in love with her. At some point in the story a thug wounds Kotona with a dagger, Yū takes her in his arms and tries to take her to a hospital, but when he is running with her a truck is about to run over them, however it doesn't because at that moment Haru arrives in his wheelchair and pushes them to avoid the impact, however now they realize that they are in a different and strange world, where some of the inhabitants are animals, and in fact at the beginning they both believe that they are cosplayers, to top it off they discover two unusual things, firstly Haru is standing and can walk in that world, and secondly, Kotona is not with them. Later the two friends discover that she is a princess in that world and that she is also mortally wounded. When Haru manages to save her, he and his friend discover a couple of terrible things: firstly, Kotona doesn't know them in that parallel world, and secondly, when they return to their own world, they discover that Ktona is sentenced to death by an illness, meaning that when you save an alter ego in one of the worlds, the other must die in return.
Se trata de tres amigos: Yū, Haru y Kotona, la cuál es novia de Yū, aunque Haru (que no puede caminar y está en silla de ruedas) está enamorado de ella en silencio. En algún punto de la historia un maleante hiere a Kotona con una daga, Yū la toma en sus brazos e intenta llevarla a un hospital, pero cuando va corriendo con ella un camión está a punto de atropellarlos, sin embargo no lo hace porque en ese momento llega Haru en su silla de ruedas y los empuja para evitar el impacto, no obstante ahora se dan cuenta que están en un mundo diferente y extraño, donde algunos habitantes son animales, y de hecho al inicio ambos creen que se trata de cosplayers, para colmo descubren dos cosas inusuales, en primer lugar Haru está de pie y puede caminar en ese mundo, y en segundo lugar, Kotona no está con ellos. Más adelante los dos amigos descubren que ella es una princesa en ese mundo y que también está herida de muerte. Cuando Haru logra salvarla él y su amigo descubren un par de cosas terribles: en primer lugar Kotona no los conoce en ese mundo paralelo, y en segundo lugar, cuando ellos regresan al suyo descubren que Ktona está sentenciada a muerte por una enfermedad, es decir, que cuando salvas a un alter ego en uno de los mundos, el otro deberá morir a cambio.

Ok, I'm going to tell you the truth from my perspective, because everyone can have a very different opinion, especially fans of the video game, but I personally really liked the concept of the movie and the plot, however I think the problem here is in the execution and the pace, since it is too slow and at times it is impossible to know where the objective of the plot is going, maybe it is that the scriptwriters tried to cover too many topics and elements in a short time, which obviously created confusion in the audience, well, at least I perceived it that way, and maybe I think it was this same thing that caused such an unsatisfactory ending. >Ok, les voy a decir la verdad desde mi perspectiva, porque cada quién puede tener una opinión muy diferente, en especial los fans del video juego, pero a mi en lo personal me gustó mucho el concepto de la película y la trama, sin embargo creo que el problema aquí está en la ejecución y el ritmo, ya que esté es demasiad lento y por momentos es imposible saber a hacia donde se dirige el objetivo de la trama, tal vez es que los guionistas intentaron abarcar demasiados temas y elementos en poco tiempo, lo cuál obviamente creó confusión en la audiencia, bueno, al menos yo lo percibí así, y tal vez creo que fue esto mismo lo que provoco ese final tan insatisfactorio.
I liked the character design because it reminded me a lot of Studio Ghibli's style. In fact, I thought they were involved in the production, but they weren't. Oriental Light and Magic was the studio in charge. However, there is someone who worked for Studio Ghibli and was involved in this film: Joe Hisaishi, who worked on the soundtrack. This was an element I really liked and one I consider one of the few truly good elements in the film; it gives it a lot of character.
El diseño de los personajes me gustó porque me recordó mucho el estilo de los Studio Ghibli, de hecho creí que este estudio estuvo involucrado en la producción pero no es así, el estudio encargado fue Oriental Light and Magic, sin embargo sí que hay alguien que trabajó para estudios Ghibli y que estuvo involucrado en esta película, se trata de Joe Hisaishi, encargado de hacer su magia en el soundtrack. Este fue un elemento que me gustó mucho y que considero uno de los pocos elementos realmente buenos en la película, le da mucho carácter.
Another strong point of the film, and one I consider worth highlighting, is that I think they sought to exalt the values of friendship, commitment, and loyalty through their characters, as well as the idea that when all these elements exist, as well as love, which is a strong motivation, there are no barriers that can hold someone back. Even disabilities or physical limitations can cease to be an impediment when you feel that something or someone you care about is in danger. On the other hand, I would also like to mention that I liked the fact that the film addressed the issue of the lack of adaptation of some spaces for people who use wheelchairs, and how this, which might seem irrelevant to some people, can make someone who just wanted to have a good time with their friends feel excluded.
Otro punto fuerte de la película y que considero digno de rescatar es que pienso que pretendieron exaltar los valores de amistad, compromiso y lealtad a través de sus personajes, así como la idea de que cuando existen todos estos elementos, así como el amor, que es una fuerte motivación, no existen barreras que puedan contener a alguien, incluso las discapacidades o limitaciones físicas pueden llegar a dejar de ser un impedimento cuando sientes que algo o alguien que te importa está en peligro. Por otra parte también me gustaría mencionar que me pareció bien el hecho de que la película tratara el tema de la falta de adaptación de algunos espacios para personas que usan sillas de ruedas, y como esto que podría parecer irrelevante para algunas personas, puede llegar a hacer sentir excluido a alguien que solo deseaba pasarla bien con sus amigos.
