If you´ve seen my last two CCC's Street Art Contest posts you know that I´ve been on self guided streetart tour through the city of Townsville in Queensland, Australia.
Another absolutely stunning and beautifully vibrant piece of art I´ve found there is this one from the artist called Haefleg.
Hafleg's artworks draw inspiration from his identity as a Larrakia artist. The Larrakia people are the Traditional Owners and Custodians of the Darwin region of the Northern Territory. This mural titled, Under the Sea, references Hafleg's Larrakia heritage through the use of crosshatching, as well as incorporating vibrant colours and dynamic composition. Under the Sea encourages the viewers to respect and appreciate their relationship with the natural environment.
FUN FACT: While tagging this post on pinmapple I´ve just found out that it is on the walls of the Townsville District Police Headquarters
you will find this post on pinmapple as well
