Hola wonderful Hiveians of this amazing community @dailyblog.
The morning started well for us. I looked outside and silently thanked God for giving us a good sleep and nice weather as we planned to go out for lunch and for a walk somewhere. We just wanted something light for breakfast so, we just ate bread paired with hot coffee and milk.
On our way, we stopped first at a supermarket to check some ingredients for baking if they were available. Unfortunately, they were still out of stock so the stop wasn’t too long. I wanted to buy mango treat from this stall but I thought the cold food might upset my stomach so I didn’t give in to my cravings that time.
We were going to Naga City in Cebu (Philippines) which was not far from where we live. If there’s no heavy traffic, travel time is about 30 minutes only. We came back to this city because we like strolling around their park. But before that, we stopped at Boss Paku restaurant for lunch. They offered unlimited seafood, chicken wings, fries, and rice for lunch and dinner.
My partner preferred the seafood. As for me, I just wanted to have chicken wings and fries more. Thankfully, the place was not packed yet when we arrived. I observed that their customers were family groups and workmates who are probably on their lunch break. The service was good and the crew were attentive to customers’ request.
I love the fries and chicken wings because they were crisp and warm. My partner enjoyed the shrimp, crab and clam but after, he began to dislike the heavy sauce so instead, he just ate the chicken wings and fries. Overall, it was a good meal and good value for money.
There’s also a café within the area, so this is perfect for having dessert after meal. It was so tempting to have some coffee and blueberry cheesecake but we still felt so full.
It’s also convenient for diners who want their cars washed while having their meal. Across the road, massage + carwash establishment was also spotted.
We were energized after eating so we proceeded to their park to go strolling around. Thankfully, it wasn’t hot nor humid that time. There are some food shops in front of the park.
We like going back to this park because it is near the sea and it isn’t crowded. It is also well-organized with visible rubbish bins and some security guards check the area from time to time.
I felt relaxed as the breeze touched my face. I enjoyed the sound of the water as it gently hit the concrete. It made me feel free from stress. I imagined myself walking barefoot on the sand (if there was a beach) and dipping my toes into the water which I think would be great.
In my opinion, the ships from a distance also make the view more picturesque. We just strolled around while poking jokes at each other.
From a distance, mountains can also be seen that still belong to this city.
The walk refreshed my mood. It also cleared my mind from unnecessary worries. Then we decided to head back home while it was not yet rush hour in the afternoon.
Before we arrived home, we stopped at Purple Yam to satisfy a little craving of mine. In this city, they are popular for their ube cake topped with special purple yam sauce that is so moist and addictive for me.
I was grateful for the nice weather that allowed us to enjoy our time outside and above all, to God for the blessings we receive each day.
This is my sharing for today and thank you for your interest. My heartfelt gratitude to @lauramica for giving us avenue to share our daily life experiences. Take Care!
