New transmission for my washing machine [ENG-ESP]

## ***Hello friends, welcome to my blog*** Fifteen days ago in the initiative of my star appliance I talked about my washing machine and commented that it was presenting a failure but I was waiting for my husband to be on vacation to check it, he is not an expert in fixing washing machines nor is dedicated to that, but he is a very versatile man and colloquially speaking “le mete a todo” so he repairs many things in the house that otherwise we would have to pay someone else to do that job. >## ***Hola amigos, bienvenidos a mi blog*** >Hace 15 días en la iniciativa de mi electrodoméstico estrella hablé sobre mi lavadora y comenté que estaba presentando una falla pero que estaba esperando que mi esposo estuviera de vacaciones para que la revisara, él no es un experto en arreglar lavadoras ni se dedica a eso, pero es un hombre muy versátil y coloquialmente hablando “le mete a todo” así que repara muchas cosas en la casa que de lo contrario tendríamos que pagarle a otra persona para hacer ese trabajo.  As it had been working for months, I didn’t want to tell him anything, since I didn’t know what the fault was. As soon as he saw it working he told me that it was the transmission and that was why it was not as strong as before. He started to disassemble it but the washer had never been repaired so the only part we had removed was the cover that broke years ago and that I mentioned in my previous post, so the parts were very hard to remove and a nut (I do not know what it is called) that had to be loosened inside the tub to release the transmission would not come off for anything in the world, He looked for many ways to loosen the nut and nothing, little by little he made a new tool with a pipe wrench, chain and other materials until he managed with this improvised tool to loosen the nut and remove the transmission to go to buy it. The old transmission was rusty, I don't know if this is normal due to age or if there is a water leak that caused the damage. >Cómo tenía meses trabajando full, yo no había querido decirle nada, asi que no sabía cual era la falla. Apenas la vio funcionando me dijo que era la transmisión y por eso no tenía la fuerza de antes. Empezó a desarmar pero la lavadora nunca se había reparado así que la única pieza que le habíamos quitado era la tapa que se le partió hace años y que comenté en mi post anterior, por lo que las piezas estaban bien duras de quitar y una tuerca (no sé cómo se llama) que había que aflojar dentro de la tina para soltar la transmisión no despegaba por nada de mundo, buscó muchas maneras de soltarla y nada, poco a poco fue fabricando una nueva herramienta con una llave de tubo, cadena y otros materiales hasta qué logro con esa herramienta improvisada soltar la tuerca y sacar la transmisión para ir a comprarla. La transmisión vieja estaba oxidada, no sé si es normal por el tiempo o hay una gotera de agua que produjo el daño.   The part was not cheap at all, he thought it cost about 50$ but the real price was close to 100$, thank God that as he cashed the vacation he was able to buy it. To assemble it was very easy because he only had to put everything back together and tighten the nut with the star tool he made, it didn’t even take him thirty minutes, unlike the five hours he spent thinking how to remove the transmission, but as I said he is a versatile and ingenious man and the washing machine was not going to beat him 🤭. >La pieza no fue nada económica, el pensaba que costaba unos 50$ pero el precio real fue cercano a los 100$, gracias a Dios que como cobró las vacaciones pudo comprarla. Para armar fue muy fácil pues solo volver a unir todo y apretar la tuerca con la herramienta estrella que fabricó, en eso no duró ni treinta minutos a diferencia de las cinco horas que ocupo ideando como sacar la transmisión, pero como dije es un hombre versátil e ingenioso y la lavadora no le iba a ganar 🤭.  I am happy to be able to say that I have a washing machine for a few more years, because that was the only fault that was presenting and with what I love my washing machine I am very happy that it is so 🙏🏻. For now I find myself washing everything I had accumulated for not wanting to give so much use to the washer and that the damage I had became something bigger, now that if I scrub like new everything is cleaner. Yupiiiiii >Estoy feliz de poder decir que tengo lavadora para unos años más, pues esa era la única falla que estaba presentando y con lo que adoro mi lavadora me siento muy feliz de que sea así 🙏🏻. Por ahora me encuentro lavando todo lo que había acumulado por no querer darle tanto uso a la lavadora y que el daño que tenía se convirtiera en algo más grande, ahora que si restregar como nueva todo queda más limpio. Yupiiii
