Our first vacation together [ENG-ESP]

## ***Hello friends, welcome to my blog*** I love to share in the community those pictures that I have saved for years and that make me remember important moments of my life. Today I share with you our first vacation together to Margarita Island (Venezuela) 18 years ago, when it was just the two of us (no children), my mom says that we had our honeymoon without getting married, but it’s a good thing we had it because in the end we haven’t married yet. We made our trip after leaving the company where we worked, where we met and where we were fired for having a relationship, I hope that at this time that no longer happens that way; although it was worth it because we are going to be 19 years together. The thing is that we were recently liquidated and we had money, by 2007 the money yielded enough, we were able to buy some things for the house and we had money left to go on vacation before starting to look for a new job. >## ***Hola amigos, bienvenidos a mi blog*** >Me encanta compartir en la comunidad esas fotografías que tengo guardadas desde hace años y que me hacen recordar momentos importantes de mi vida. Hoy les comparto nuestras primeras vacaciones juntos a la Isla de Margarita (Venezuela) hace 18 años, cuando éramos nosotros dos nada más (sin hijos), mi mamá dice que tuvimos luna de miel sin habernos casados, pero que bueno que la tuvimos porque al final no nos hemos casado aún. >Nuestro viaje lo realizamos luego de salir de la empresa donde trabajábamos, dónde nos conocimos y de dónde nos despidieron por tener una relación, espero que en esta época eso ya no ocurra de esa manera; aunque valió la pena porque ya vamos a cumplir 19 años juntos. El caso es que estábamos recién liquidados y teníamos dinero, para el 2007 el dinero rendía lo suficiente, pudimos comprar algunas cosas para la casa y nos quedó dinero para irnos de vacaciones antes de empezar a buscar un nuevo empleo.    Our trip began at 4 in the morning in the state of Aragua, because we went by our own car by road to Puerto la Cruz, Anzoátegui state, where we arrived around noon, we bought the tickets for the ferry that left at 4 in the afternoon, so we had to wait and meanwhile we could walk around the city for a while. On that trip for me everything was new, first because I did not know any place in eastern Venezuela; I had not been on any big boat either, the closest I had come was the boats that take people from Bahía de Cata to Catica privada (beaches on the coast of Aragua) and I got on one that was going to take me out to sea where I could see dolphins and the sea from the deck. >Nuestro viaje comenzó a las 4 de la madruga en el estado Aragua, pues nos fuimos en carro propio por carretera hasta Puerto la Cruz estado Anzoátegui, a donde llegamos cerca de medio día, compramos los boletos para el Ferry que salía a las 4 de la tarde, así que tuvimos que esperar y mientras tanto pudimos pasear por la ciudad un rato. En ese viaje para mí todo fue nuevo, primero porque no conocía ningún lugar del oriente de Venezuela; tampoco me había subido a ningún barco grande, lo más cerca que había llegado era a las lanchas que llevan a las personas de Bahía de Cata para Catica privada (playas en la costa de Aragua) y me subí a uno que me iba a llevar mar adentro donde pude ver delfines y el mar desde la cubierta.   As we traveled in April we did not make reservations or anything, we arrived at night to look for a hotel, the only thing we wanted was to stay in one that was close to downtown where we could go for a walk in the afternoons and get food easily in the evenings. Now I do not remember the name of the hotel or the name of the avenue but I know that we had half a block away a lady who made delicious empanadas with which we had breakfast every morning and a fast food place where we had dinner every night, lunch if we bought it in the places we visited during the day. While in Margarita we went to Playa El Yaque, Parque El Agua, Mercado de Conejeros, Sambil and others, we spent four days on the island and had an incredible time, I loved having the opportunity to get to know that part of Venezuela, after our children were born we wanted to make plans again and take the children to Margarita Island but the economic situation has not allowed us to do so, but it is something we have always had pending. What is certain is that it was a wonderful vacation or honeymoon. >Cómo viajamos en abril no hicimos reservaciones ni nada, llegamos de noche a buscar un hotel, lo único que queríamos era quedarnos en uno que estuviera cerca del centro donde pudiéramos salir a caminar por las tardes y conseguir comida fácilmente por las noches. Ahora no recuerdo ni el nombre del hotel ni el de la avenida pero se que teníamos a media cuadra una señora que hacía unas ricas empanadas con las que desayunamos todas la mañanas y un sitio de comida rápida donde cenamos cada noche, el almuerzo si lo compramos en los lugares que visitamos durante el día. >Estando en Margarita fuimos a Playa El Yaque, Parque El Agua, Mercado de Conejeros, Sambil y otros, fueron cuatro días que estuvimos en la isla y la pasamos increíble, me encantó haber podido tener la oportunidad de conocer esa parte de Venezuela, después que nacieron nuestros hijos hemos querido volver a hacer planes y llevar a los niños a conocer la Isla de Margarita pero la situación económica no nos lo ha permitido, pero es algo que siempre hemos tenido pendiente. Lo que si es cierto es que fueron unas maravillosas vacaciones o luna de miel.
