Well, everyone has the right to privacy and especially when we grow up, privacy increases a lot because whenever we are in our room, everyone takes a separate room so that they can do their private things there, it can be anything and there are some things which you do not want to share with others, if someone violates your privacy then you get angry in such a situation. And after a time, privacy matters a lot, if you are married then if someone comes to your room without your knowledge, then sometimes you may be in an awkward situation, anything can happen, whether the situation is to do something else or you are talking about your things or any situation can happen, hence as you grow up, the concern for privacy increases.
But if we talk specifically about small children, then small children do not need privacy, some particular ones, not at all. I feel that from a young age onwards, we should keep a complete eye on the children and pay attention to what they are doing and what kind of activities they are involved in, and we should try to tell the children about whatever technology there is, and they should learn to use it so that they can use it and increase their knowledge. Often we send children to school, pay tuition and think that they will learn everything, but see, children learn a lot from their home and their environment. The privacy of children becomes understandable after a certain age. What privacy do small children need? Look, their parents and their elders know everything about them because they have seen them from childhood, but yes, as they grow up, the privacy concerns keep increasing, but till a young age, we should not give them so much privacy and why should we give it because small children do not need it at all, that is the time when we have to take care of them.
We should definitely give our older children privacy, but we should also be aware of what they are doing and what activities they engage in. Right now, we shouldn't pay any attention to children, but we should pay attention to them. I'm not saying we should install any kind of spyware on them. Yes, some parents may do this, but it's not a good idea because their views on their children may change based on their actions, what they do online, and what kind of content they consume. But you should also give your children time and spend time with them, because if you don't do this, you gradually create distance in your relationships, and then it becomes much more difficult to bridge these distances.
I would like to end my talk by saying that privacy is important for kids but after a certain age, small children do not need any privacy, rather we should take more care of them, but as they grow older, we need privacy, but we should talk to our children and keep an eye on how they are spending their time and what things they are interested in, if we do this then it is absolutely right, everyone needs private time and privacy is also important because not everyone shares everything, maybe you too might not do it and no, I do, why do you do it?
