Well, if I talk about India, we get a lot of holidays here because there is a festival or another every month, due to which there are often a lot of holidays here, but there are very few holidays when you get continuous holidays. For example, I work for a US-based company, which is not my own. I work in a small company here, due to which I have Saturday and Sunday off. If a festival falls on Friday or Monday, then I get three days off, and sometimes even four days off, which gives me a lot of time. But if the holiday is only for one day, then we don't get a chance to enjoy it fully. And if you travel somewhere, then you have to do things very quickly, or you have to take some extra leave.
Well, many festivals are celebrated in India and they are celebrated with great pomp and show because people of all religions live here due to which festivals of many different religions are celebrated and mostly the majority here is of Hindus so most of the festivals that you will see are a mix of Hindus, Muslims, Sikhs and Christians but the maximum majority that you will see here are of Hindu festivals. If I talk about holidays, to be honest, I used to enjoy them a lot in my childhood, but now it is not as enjoyable as it used to be, I don't know, maybe the environment has become like this or it is just me, I don't know whatever the reason is but now I don't enjoy it that much.
But I feel that we should definitely get a holiday for a few weeks once a year so that we can enjoy ourselves to the fullest. Yes, in Western countries, everyone enjoys a lot during December, and people celebrate holidays at that time because at this time there is Christmas, and then the New Year is also about to come, due to which people look very happy. Yes, here too Parvati is being celebrated, but if I talk about holidays, we do not get that many holidays, but I wish that we should definitely be given some holidays in the rest of the year, so that we can spend them freely, or if we want to travel somewhere, we can do that too.
See, when there are holidays, then in a way we boost the economy because if you go somewhere for a trip, then you spend your money there. If you live your daily life of regular office to home and home to office, then in such a case, you only contribute a fixed amount to the economy, like going to or coming from a hat, eating in the canteen, or whatever you do, it is all regular. If you want to travel somewhere, then the matter becomes a little different. In such a case, you go to some other city and spend your money, due to which has an impact on the economy of other states or other countries as well.
Look, humans have the right to enjoy; we are not machines. Many owners of big companies, especially Infosys, were in the news when they said that the workers should not take leave even on Sundays and everyone was shocked after hearing all this because look, the work has to be done by the people at the lower levels, the bosses at the top have to just sit and the owners have to issue orders but the instructions have to be followed by the people at the lower levels and they have to bear everything.
So, in the end, I'd just say that everyone has the right to enjoy a vacation, and they should have as many as possible. If you get a vacation, you should definitely go somewhere once a year because it's incredibly refreshing and has a significant impact on your life, your mindset, and so much more. Travelling gives you a wealth of new information and a lot to learn. I also occasionally take small trips here and there, and to be honest, it's a lot of fun. Unfortunately, I don't go on many trips because I'm always free on weekends, which is why I'm always busy. Holidays are incredibly important in our lives, and everyone, regardless of their age, has the right to take a vacation.
