If you live in Europe it is hard to not know what Eurovision is, if you live outside of Europe there is a chance you know Epic Sax Guy (that is from Eurovision contest) :)
In short Eurovision is a music contest where every country from Europe is sending one representative to compete against all other countries. It started in 1956 so you could say it has some popularity. I must admit i usually watch it to see how crazy it will be, because every year there is some crazy and fun shit. And the production is usually really good, so it is visually fun.
I think there are no rules of how a country decides who they send. A lot of countries are having their own competition to decide who will go.
Now if you follow Eurovision there is a good chance that you heard about Konstrakta. Two years ago she won the local competition against all expectations. We usually send pretty ladies with lack of fabric or some ballad with a touch of traditional music.
And Konstrakta - In Corpore Sano was non of that.

And to be honest she made a lot of noise. Performance was "weird" the same as the lyrics. But it had a lot of layers of statements about the state of our country and the world.
Now Konstrakta entered the contest again with a song called Novo, bolje (New, Better). The song was out for a month at this point, but it was only audio. And it is ok. But yesterday was the semifinal contest and the performance was seen live for the first time. Damn it was funny 😁

And as the song started my first thought was "nah she didn't" :) and yes she did. She named the song Novo, Bolje (New, Better) and on the surface level she did the same thing.

Now the social media fun starts.
Comments are all over the place. From "this is stupid, she did the exact same thing as the last time". And those people are prime example of the "He would not understand even if you draw it for him", Konstrakta literally draw it for them.
Then it went to the "we always expect and wait for something new and better, it is never enough" to the statement about the overall system now days. From corporate to social media.
And then there was a good part of people taking it as a political statement. As a parody on politicians always promising something new and better, people always expecting that they will deliver, but it never happens. Some went even further and saying it is a parody of the current government as their campaign slogan was something similar.
My thinking didn't go there on a first listen. But then i clicked on twitter today and saw the plans for reconstruction of one of the squares in the city 😂

Overall it would be hilarious to sent Konstrakta to Eurovision contest again with this song. I never voted on these things, but i am thinking of sending a vote for her to win 😂
