Hello everyone. How are you? I've been feeling really tired lately. We still haven't finished cleaning and settling into our new house. It's so old and dirty that we can't even finish it in one go. Maybe one day I'll share the house's evolution here.🥲 Today, I want to show you a few photos from the Eastern and Southeastern Anatolia Gathering held in the Bismil district of Diyarbakır in the last quarter of September. Our friends had told us about this festival. When they said it would feature local artists and sell local products, we asked them to let us know when they were going. Since we couldn't make it during the concerts, we only went on the last day. So, we only saw local food being sold.

Yeni taşındığımız evin temizlik ve yerleşme işleri hâlâ bitmedi ev çok eski ve pis olduğu için tek seferde temizleyip bitiremiyoruz. Belki birgün evin evrim geçirmiş halini de burada paylaşırım.🥲 Bugün sizlerle Eylül ayının son çeyreğinde Diyarbakır'ın Bismil ilçesinde düzenlenen Doğu ve Güneydoğulular buluşmasından kareler göstermek istiyorum. Bize de bu festivalden arkadaşlarımız bahsetmişti. Yerel sanatçıların konser verdiği yöresel ürünlerin satıldığı bir festival olacağını söylediğinde gittikleri zaman bize de haber vermelerini rica ettik. Konserlerin olduğu zamanlarda müsait olamadığımız için son günlerde gidebildik. Bu yüzden sadece yöresel yiyeceklerin satıldığını görmüş olduk.
Because I had work in the city center that day, we could only reach the festival area in the evening. 🌌Let me give you some information about the festival. The Bismil Southeastern Anatolia Festival, held every year in the Bismil district of Diyarbakır, is a very important festival for the local people, reflecting the cultural richness of the region. At the festival, participants from various provinces of Eastern and Southeastern Anatolia come together to perform their local dishes, local costumes, local music, and folk dances. Stage shows, concerts, handicraft stands, and local food promotions are held throughout the festival.💃🏻🕺🏻👯 The aim of the festival is to increase solidarity among the local people, keep cultural values alive, and pass on traditions to younger generations. The hospitable people of the East and Southeast welcome guests with great sincerity throughout the festival. This event, which features colorful scenes, becomes a pleasant meeting point for both locals and visitors from surrounding provinces.
O gün sabahtan il merkezinde işlerimiz olduğu için ancak akşam saatlerinde festival alanına gelebildik. 🌌Biraz festival ile ilgili bilgi vereyim. Bismil Güneydoğulular Festivali her yıl Diyarbakır'ın Bismil ilçesinde düzenlenen ve bölgenin kültürel zenginliğini yansıtan bölge halkı için oldukça önemli bir festival. Festivalde Doğu ve Güneydoğu Anadolu'nun farklı şehirlerinde gelen katılımcılar bir araya gelerek hem yöresel yemeklerini hem yöresel kıyafetlerini hemde yöresel müzikleri ile halk oyunlarını sergiliyorlar. Festival süresince sahne gösterileri, konserler, el sanatları standları ve yöresel yemek tanıtımları yapılıyor.💃🏻🕺🏻👯 Festivalin amacı, bölge halkı arasında dayanışmayı artırmak, kültürel değerleri yaşatmak ve genç nesillere gelenekleri aktarmak. Doğu ve Güneydoğu'nun misafirperver halkı festival boyunca konuklarını büyük içtenlikle ağırlar. Renkli görüntülere sahne olan bu etkinlik, hem yerel halk hemde çevre illerden gelen ziyaretçiler için keyifli bir buluşma noktası haline geliyor.
One of the most popular parts of the festival were the food stands. Steaming kebabs, stuffed meatballs, skewered meat and spicy appetizers attract visitors with their fragrant scents. Since we went in the evening, there wasn't much left, but the scents were still around. Our friends who went the day before said the food was amazing. 🌮🍖🍗We got lost in the smells and tried liver shish, one of Diyarbakır's famous dishes. The liver dish made here is truly something else. Spices, handmade desserts, a variety of dried nuts and fruits, and of course animal products (various cheeses, milk, yogurt), and of course, again, the handmade sausages offered a visual feast above the standards. 🧀🍶🌶️🍕You can see the rich culture of our Eastern and Southeastern provinces at festivals like these. We were a bit unlucky to come across it in the last hour of the last day. As we were leaving the festival area, a fireworks display suddenly started. 💥🎆After watching for a while, we left the festival area and headed home*.
Yemek standları festivalin en çok ilgi gören bölümlerinden biriydi. Dumanı tüten kebaplar, içli köfteler, saç üzerine pişen gözlemeler ve bol baharatlı mezeler mis gibi kokularıyla ziyaretçileri kendine çekiyor. Biz akşam gittiğimiz için pek birşey kalmamıştı ama kokular hâlâ etraftaydı. Bizden birgün önce giden arkadaşlarımız sabahtan gitmiş ve çok güzel yiyecekler olduğunu söylemişlerdi. 🌮🍖🍗Kokulardan epey etkilenince biz de Diyarbakır'ın en meşhur yiyeceklerinden biri olan ciğer şiş yedik. Gerçekten burada yapılan ciğer yemeği bir ayrı oluyor. Baharatlar, el yapımı tatlılar, çeşit çeşit kuruyemişler ve tabi hayvansal ürünler (peynir çeşitleri, süt, yoğurt) ve tabiki yine el yapımı sucuklar standartlara görsel şölen yaşanıyordu. 🧀🍶🌶️🍕Doğu ve Güneydoğu illerinin zengin kültürünü bu tür festivallerde görebilirsiniz. Biz son günün son saatlerinde gittiğimiz için biraz şanssızdık. Festival alandan ayrılırken birden havai fişek gösterisi başladı. 💥🎆Birazcıkta onu izleyip festival alanından ayrılıp evimizin yolunu tuttuk.
