It was a great and beautiful Sunday for me today as i had a great time in the presence of God with singing and dancing, well i love dancing especially to the traditional drum beat in our church with lovely and danceable songs to the glory of God, i hope you had same experience because in the presence of God, there is fullness of joy 😊
I will like to quickly share with you today the making of this simple cosmetics pouch with zipper and handle made for my sister's friend.
Not long ago, i decided to add craft of different types using fabrics to my sewing skills and my creativity has made me well known in my neighbourhood, amongst people far and near. I made lots of creative items for my sister and in turn, she brings client to me, a friend of hers most of the things i made for her and requested that i make a simple cosmetics pouch for her which will be delivered through my sister tomorrow, out of my tight and busy schedule today, i decided to make this quick simple pouch for her and i hope she will like it when it will be delivered to her.
Let me take you through the cutting and sewing process
From my pieces of fabric, i measured and cut out 13 x 10" with lining of same shape, then an interfacing ironed on the main fabric
I have my zipper placed on the right side of the fabric at the top with the zipper head facing down then the lining was placed on the zipper and it was sewn together on both sides after which it was top stitched on the right side
For the handle, i cut out a piece of fabric measuring 3 x 9" it was folded and sewn together on both sides
The zipper was closed and I notched the opposite side, then the zipper side was placed in the middle and the handle was sewn to the edge of one side and both sides were sewn together
The zipper was opened the middle and at one side, i folded both sides in to the middle and it was sewn together
The excess zipper were trimmed off on both sides and it was turned inside out to the right side
This is the final and beautiful outcome of the simple cosmetics pouch i made for my sister's friend, i have some of my items in it to see how beautiful it will be
I hope she will like the beautiful outcome when it's finally delivered to her.
