Happy new week and a beautiful Monday to you all in this community @needleworkmonday I hope you are all doing great and having a beautiful start of the week. It is my pleasure to share with you àll on this beautiful day the making of a 360° circle flare blouse and a 6pieces skirt for a friend in church for the celebration of our women choir 3rd year anniversary.

As we were planning the service of songs with the celebration we all decided to get a particular fabric as a uniform to grace the anniversary which we bought and also we decided to make same style of a peplum blouse and skirt. My friend gave me hers to make the outfit for her and I took her bodice measurement needed but because she's a plus size, I made a 6pieces skirt for her so as to make it free on her instead of the straight skirt we all decided and she loved and appreciated what i made for her.

With the bodice measurement taken, I drafted out a princess dart bustier on a brown paper which was used to cut out the main fabric

For the skirt, I used her hip measurement to divide the number of pieces with seam and ease allowance before it was cut out

For the front, I joined 3pieces together and at the back, I joined 2pieces each with lining.

Since I will be using elastic band for the waistline, the same measurement was used for the hip and waist measurement as I joined the two sides together with the side seam allowance

I sew in an elastic band of 8" on both sides of the waistline and it was folded in with 2.5" added to the waistline when cutting.

For the blouse, I cut out a basic back bodice with a princess dart bustier for the front using the drafted pattern and lining to give it a neat finishing

The front and back were sewn together and I cut out a basic short sleeve to the armhole circumference and it was sewn together

From the remaining fabric, I cut out a 360° flare using the waist measurement plus seam and zipper allowance at the back after which I cut out lining and interfacing was iron on the main fabric

The flare was sewn on the waistline and a zipper was sewn to the zipper allowance at the back to make a complete blouse

This is the beautiful and final outcome of the skirt and blouse I made for my friend in church for our anniversary.
