Hello everyone

Thank God its Friday, it's another beautiful day out here and i thank God for the gift of life, it's so nice to be here again in yhe community @hivediy, i wish you all a great time out there. Today, i will be sharing with you with great pleasure the cutting and sewing process on how i made a small fabric casing for my friend for her glasses with a little fabric flower i made which was attached to it as an embellishments to make it look so beautiful.

Yesterday, i went to see a friend of mine who gave birth to a baby girl and i decided to pay her a visit, when i got there, i met a friend of ours as well who to came to visit our new baby. After awhile, i decided to take my leave but before then, i saw our friend of our with her glasses but unfortunately, it does not have a casing where it can be be kept before putting it in her bag. I offered to make one for her so as to prevent the glasses from scratching and damaging the surface. I hope you will like the simplicity, useful and beautiful outcome of it.

Lets get started with the cutting and sewing process

I measured and cut out 5 x 9" with lining and interfacing ironed on the main fabric

I placed the lining on the right side of the main fabric and it was sewn at the top , same process was repeated on the other piece

The two pieces were placed together fabric to fabric and lining to lining, it was sewn together round leaving an opening on the lining where it can be turned inside out

It was turned inside out to the right side through the opening and the opening was top stitched on

The lining was inserted into the main fabric and this is how it looks

I used my hand needle and thread to fix a pressing button to the middle of the fabric casing to secure the glasses

Finally, to add an embellished on it to make it look nice i beautiful, i used my gum to glue one of my fabric flower i made on one coner of the fabric casing.

Now my friend can have her glasses in this fabric casing and it will be very secure, i hope you like the simplicity and beautiful outcome.

Thanks so much for your time, support, comment and encouragement. Until my next post, do have a lovely day.
