Hello everyone
Happy Monday and happy new week to you all, i hope you are doing great, it's another beautiful week to achieve our set goals, i hope you had a great weekend with your family and friends. As we start this new week, i wish you all greater achievement and positive results in whatever you lay your hands on. It our day @needleworkmonday for us all to share our creativity as well as to inspire other people's work, today, i will be sharing with you howi made a cross body bag for my friend for her new business.
It is a small bag with long handle and 2 zipper, one for her phone and the other for keeping the cash she made.
My friend recently opened a new shop where she sells little items and food stuff, she contacted me that she will need me to made her a small bag where she can keep her money, just has itss been done here, you have to keep your money around you because of security reasons, so i decided to make this cross body bag for for so she can hang it across her body and do her business.
Here are the cutting and sewing process
I measured and cut out 2 pieces of fabrics measuring 12 x 9" with lining and interfacing on on the main fabric
I measured 1.5 x 1.5" at the down and 1" at the top and it was connected and cut out on both pieces and lining
I measured and cut out 2" from the top, i placed a zipper on it and lining which was sewn and too stiched on the other side
The 2" that was cut out was sewn to the other side of the zipper with the lining folded up
I placed another zipper on the main fabric and sew it together with lining and the same process was repeated on the other side
I top stitched on the zipper and i placed main fabric to main fabric and lining to lining, it was sewn together leaving an opening on the lining where it can be turned inside out
The excess zipper was trimmed off and the 4 corners where sewn together before it was turned inside out through the opening on the lining and zipper opening
For the handle, i measured and cut out 4 x 45" it was folded and sewn together on both sides
The opening on the lining was top stitched and it was tucked in, the handle was sewn on both sides of the bag and this is the final outcome.
I hope you like how it looks and how useful this can be for my friend's business.
