Hello everyone
Greetings to you all on this beautiful day and i hope you are all doing great, it's good to be here again in this community to share with you the making of a detachable big bow with tail at the back of a wedding gown outfit for my neighbor.
Recently, i was given this fabric to make a simple wedding gown outfit for my neighbor within her budget which i did, it was indeed a simple outfit as there were not too much work done on it, it was a long flare gown with an off shoulder upper bodice and a long sleeve, though it was nice and looking beautiful
I thought to myself about adding something nice to it to make it look elegant and stylish, then i decided to make this detachable big bow with tail to the back, as she can decide to attach it or not, eventually when my neighbor saw it, she was so happy and love the beautiful outcome.
This big bow was made with the pieces from the main fabric and a crinoline to make it stand firm for the desired design to be achieved, join me as i explain the details below
From the remaining pieces of fabric, i measured and cut out on fold 12 x 10"
It was folded together with both edges in the middle, one piece overlapping the other and was sewn together on both sides after which it was turned inside out and ironed neatly
I cut 2 pieces of 3" crinoline measuring 10" and it was sewn together with the edges pipe with white satin
It was inserted to the main fabric through the middle that was left unsewn and it was sewn on at the middle.
It was set aside as i cut out the long tail of my desired length considering the fabric i have left, it was sewn together and turned inside out after which it was neatly ironed
To hold the bow and tail together, i cut out a small piece, it was folded and sewn together before it was turned inside out
I used my hand needle and thread to run a long stitch in the middle of the big fabric to make a bow and it was gathered and secured together then the small piece was used to cover the middle
I inserted the tail to the middle of the bow and i added some gum to the middle to secure the tail from removing or falling off.
Finally, i added a white pressing button to the bow and the back of the gown so as to be attached and detached when necessary.
This is the final and beautiful outcome of the wedding gown outfit i made for my pregnant neighbor, she was so glad to have this beautiful outfit for her wedding and was so grateful that i could make this even with her little budget.
I hope you like the simplicity and beautiful outcome of this gown.
