Hello everyone
It's feels so great to be in this great community today @diyhub to share with you one of my simple diy tutorial, i hope you are all doing great, it is the beginning of a new month and i wish you all prosperity in whatever we lay our hands on to do. I will be sharing with you this simple process on how i made a quick multipurpose fabric pouch with zipper and I'm sure you will like it.
As a seamstress, i love to use pieces of fabric to create different and useful project and this is one of my recent designs, it is a fabric pouch with zipper and pleated base to make it comfortable and sit well on its own it can either be used as a phone, cash or pencil pouch whichever use you so desire to use it for, that is why is is a multipurpose pouch and im sure you will like it as it is simple, easy and very useful.
Join me in the simple cutting and sewing process.
I measured and cut out 2 pieces of fabric measuring 7 x 9" with interfacing ironed on the main fabric and lining
I placed a zipper on the main fabric and lining on yhe zipper which was sewn together on both fabric and top stitched on on the right sides
I placed lining to lining and fabric to fabric together, then it was sewn on both sides leaving a small opening on the lining where it can be turned inside out
From the right and left side of the main fabric, i measured 1" inward, it was folded in and i sew it on a straight line to the other end, the same process was repeated on the lining as well with the zipper opened to the middle
After Sewing, the excess zipper was trimmed off and the main fabric was turned inside out through the opening on the lining and tge opening was top stitched on.
This is the final and beautiful outcome of the multipurpose fabric pouch i made with the pleated bottom looking like this
I hooe you like how simple and easy this can be achieved using little pieces of left over fabric with a beautiful and useful outcome.
