Hello everyone
It's a beautiful day out here and i bring you a warm greetings on this day from my sewing room as usual, it's your girl again in this great community @diyhub i hope you all are doing great. Today, i will be sharing with you the making of a drawstring pouch i made specifically for the safe keeping of my beads and I'm sure you will like the beautiful outcome.
Well, you might be wondering if i have a jewelries box or not, i do but this bead is just to big for it to be kept in it besides, this bead is not something i wear always, its just occasionally that i put it on, so i decided to make this fabric pouch so as to put the beads in it before keeping it safe in my box of clothes.
This was achieved through this few step by step process.
First was to cut out 2 pieces of circle shape measuring 3.5" diameter with lining ironed on the main fabric and same shape of lining was cut out as well.
From the circle, i measured 5" and cut it out from the circle
Same was used to cut out the other pieces as well as the lining
For the loop, i cut out 4.5 x 2" with was folded on both ends and sewn together when folded in two
The loop was placed on the main fabric and was sewn together with the lining as well
The same process was repeated on the other one and both were placed together fabric to fabric and lining to lining
It was sewn round leaving an opening on the lining were it can be turned inside out
It was turned inside out through the opening on the lining and it was top stitched on
The lining was put back in and i sew two rope for the strings to be tied together to secure the items in it
The rope was inserted in the loop as well
Here is my beads inserted in the circle drawstring pouch
It was knot together to secure the items in it before it was kept in my box. I hope you like the beautiful outcome
