A beautiful weekend to you all on this Saturday, i hope you are all doing great, it is with great pleasure that i will be shared with you the making of a double pocket wallet for phone and cash using a single piece of fabric.
Yesterday, the weather was really cold that it feels like it was about to rain but unfortunately, it didn't, i was all in door by myself and i thought of what to do to keep myself busy, then i remembered i had a request from my friend who wanted me to make her a wallet for her phone and cash whenever she's going out. Sometimes we ladies don't really like going out with a big bag, but sometimes with something simple and easy to put our phone and cash needed, thus is one of the reasons my friend requested for this and im glad to make her one.
I decided to make this simple design different from the ones i have made before and this turned out to be very nice and beautiful.
Let me show you the cutting and sewing process
First was to cut out the main fabric of 19 x 9"
From the top, i measured 3.5" and folded it in and another 3.5 to be folded out.
I measured 3" and folded the 3.5 out on the 3" and in again to make the second pocket.
Then the remaining fabric was folded on the pleated ones i made
It was taken to the sewing machine and I sew on both sides with 0.5" seam allowance leaving the top open without sewing
It was turned inside out through the opening at the top bringing each side out separately.
As simple as tgat, this is the double pocket wallet i made with a beautiful outcome
It was neatly ironed and i used my hand needle and thread to fix a pressing button to the middle on both sides then i placed my phone and cash in it to see how beautiful it looks.
I hope you like the beautiful outcome just as my friend will love simple outcome of it just as she wanted it.
