Hello everyone
Greetings to you all from this part of the world, i bring you warm greetings from my sewing room and i hope you are all doing great, i had a lovely time out there today after making this simple pouch as one of my today's work achievement as scheduled for myself. I will love to share with you the making of this simple pouch with different pockets for phone, cash and phone made from a single piece of fabric with lining and interfacing.
The piece of fabric was folded and sewn together with handle and pressing button to secure the items in it, with just a small piece of fabric, it can be achieved with a beautiful, simple and beautiful outcome just as this.
Let me take you through the cutting and sewing process
I measured and cut out my interfacing measuring 16 x 10"
It was folded in two and i marked 4" inward and 3" as well it was connected together with a curve at the top and was cut out
The interfacing was used to cut out the main fabric and lining after which the interfacing was ironed on the main fabric
The lining and main fabric was placed together right side to right side and was sewn together following the shape leaving and opening where it can be turned inside out.
The sides were trimmed and i notched the curve area and it was turned inside out through the opening and ironed
It was top stitched round as well as the opening where it was turned inside out to give it a neat finishing
It was folded together on the wrong side as seen and was sewn together after which it was opened to the middle
I turned it to the right side just like this and it was neatly pressed
It was folded in two and i placed a small handle i made in-between the folded side and i sew on both sides to give me three pockets
Finally, i used my hand needle and thread to fix a pressing button at the top and the opposite side as well to secure the items in it.
With this, I have a separate pocket for my phone, cash and cards, i hope you like the simplicity and beautiful outcome of this pouch.
