Hello everyone

Happy new week and a beautiful start of the week to you on in this great community and hive at large, i hooe you all had a great weekend and also prepared for the new week. Its is with great pleasure that i bring to you today the making of this stylish design of a fabric purse without zipper which i quickly made for my friend in church and im sure you will like the simplicity and beautiful outcome of it

Few months ago, i made a matching bag and purse for myself to complement my outfit to church and it was looking really nice that most people admired and wanted me to make same for them which im still waiting for their orders, well as a seamstress who likes to make beautiful items for herself, i have different bags or purses made for myself for different outfit, luckily enough, yesterday, i used same bag and purse i had made some months ago and of of my friend in church was bent on me that i should make a purse for her from same fabric, fortunately for her, i have some left over from same fabric and i decided to make something different and nice for her with it as requested.

Join me as i take you through the cutting and sewing process

From the left over fabric, i measured and cut out 14 x 14" with interfacing ironed on it and lining of same measurement to turn it inside out.

The lining was placed on the right side of the main fabric and was sewn round, leaving an opening for it to be turned inside out.

It was turned inside out and top stitched round after which it was neatly ironed

I folded it in two in a triangle shape and it was pressed to locate the middle and i folded one side to the line in the middle just as seen below

It was folded up from the middle as shown

On the left side, i folded it in to the right side and tge same was repeated on the other side as well

The tip of the one on top was opened and i used my hand needle and thread to secure the mid point together

The other side has now become the flip cover for the purse to secure the items in it

Finally, i used my hand needle and thread to fix a pressing button to the small opening i made with the tip of tge folding and the other side of the button was fix at the back of the flip cover.

When the two buttons were pressed together, this is how it looks with the button being invisible

This is the final and beautiful outcome with phone, cash and card in it.

I hope you like the stylish design and beautiful outcome.

Thanks so much for your time, support, comment and encouragement to my blog. Until my next post, do have a great and productive week.
